This place is fabulous. I don't mess around with my teeth . I am 50 years old and I'm proud to still have a nice smile. I wouldn't go anywhere else.! Simply put.

This place is a joke and can't be trusted, one example is the female dentist was cleaning my teeth and she was extremely rough and it was extremely painful. (Almost seemed she was rough on purpose) The staff have nasty attitudes..Also, I was in pain and they told me I needed an $800 root canal...luckily, I went to another dentist and he said that was false they were lying to me. No more pain no $800 procedure, sadly I've been going to these people for years. The majority of them cannot be trusted and they're scumbags. I would pull out my own teeth with pliers before I go back to A+ family dental.

My 77 year old mom went to this place for top and bottom dentures. $1908 for first set. The impression was good, 1-2 weeks later the horse teeth arrived. My mom knew out of the gate that the teeth were not like the impression. She communicated this and was told the teeth were just like the impression. After of insisting, she was told that for another $500, they will fix their mistake. 2nd impression fit better than the first. Teeth arrived a couple weeks later, and they don't fit right. She told them and they said, well you signed that the impression was approved. The problem is, the impression DID NOT Equal the teeth she was given, for second time. They let her walk out the door and blamed her as some crazy old lady. They didn't think for a second that maybe, just maybe, there is a problem with the lab or whoever it is, that prepares the final product. The reason I took the time to write this is that I hope enough people complain, they'll do something about it and our lovely seniors are taken care of properly and respectfully.

I am not one of those people who complain constantly on the internet, but I feel the need to warn folks about the Quakertown office of this dental group, also known as a plus family dental care. Being on Medicaid limits your choices of where to seek dental care and this practice does accept it, but I would urge you to look elsewhere. They ruined my teeth with claims of multiple cavities and I had fillings constantly falling out. I was back and forth for almost two years and when I told them I couldn't afford thousands of dollars for crowns and root canals or paying myself to have the fillings fixed AGAIN they told me having the teeth pulled was my only choice for pain relief. When they got all they could from me (and Medicaid) the dentist came barging in and said losing the fillings was my fault and I should find a new dentist. I am now in the process of having my remaining teeth pulled and getting dentures at a GOOD practice, whose people told me that they had multiple patients who also came to them from A Plus with similar bad experiences. Please learn from my dental nightmare and avoid their Quakertown office.

Folks - I am an health insurance agent and this is my dentist. Being an agent helps me understand how this practice works. This is NOT your old fashioned family dentist who has a couple of assistants and maybe a hygienist or two. This is a CORPORATION. That means that none of the dentists are employees - they are all 100% independent contractors. Montgomery Mall Dental in North Wales works the same way....that's why there are so many dentists you can see. You can get one GOOD dentist and one bad dentist. One gentle caring tooth cleaning and one 5 minute super fast one. They only get paid for work that THEY do.....and each person is responsible for their own patients. They simply pay rent to use the space, the materials and the "up front" customer service gals to schedule their appointments. And YES, they do ask for payment up front because the corporation pays the dentists for their work only after they have been paid. Why should someone who did the work today have to wait weeks to be paid because YOUR insurance gave them grief. You pay what you owe and then YOU deal with your insurance to get reimbursed. It's not their responsibility!Anyhow, personally, I've been dealing with Dr Bhumi (female) who often works in Souderton office. I've had implants done, some cavities, some cosmetic and I've always been happy with her. So when you call, ask for Dr Bhumi and her assistant Jessica. If she's your dentist, you won't be unhappy. Souderton is more quiet and peaceful then Harleysville. But yes, the customer service for the office needs work. Not the CARE....the service. They rotate people in and out. They are not open for long on the weekends (because the dentists don't want to work on the weekends) and they have horrible answering and hold times. Over the weekend of 1/11/2020, my crown fell off. So I called and was on hold for 10 minutes with no answer. So instead, I hung up & sent them a fax to ask for a call back (while the office was still open) and never got a response. I wasn't asking for an appointment - just a call back to schedule an appointment but I never got it. So I went to the Harleysville office TODAY, was told there were no appointments and that I'd have to call the 800 number to speak to the call center to make an appt! WHAT !!!! I'm standing in the office - even if it's not for a day or so, why can't you make an appointment for me now. Don't you leave any room for emergencies? Finally, after some gentle nudging, they called the other office and I was able to see Dr Bhumi just an hr later who took care of me quickly and pleasantly. So this CS department needs a major shake-up. But so far, I've never been unhappy with the care. The missing star is for bad customer service.

The dentists at the Quakertown location are fantastic; they are thorough, caring, procedures are done quickly, and the work seems to be done very well. The administration is a different story.... They called me the day before my appointment to confirm the date, time, and the amount due after insurance. I confirmed all of this and expected to come in the next day. The following morning (day of my appointment, less than 24 hours later) they call to tell me the procedure was not approved. I went back and forth with this office for FIVE WEEKS prior to this.... First they said they were not receiving xrays from another office three times (I went to the office in person and watched them type the correct fax number), then they continued to bill the wrong insurance after I went into the office in person and provided them with physical cards weeks earlier.I took time off work, spent hours on the phone with them, only to be told over and over that it was confirmed, then not confirmed. Overall its unfortunate that in order to get great work done by skilled dentists you have to go through office administration that is completely inept.I recommend the dentists, but not the practice. This is firmly a one star practice.

I had a bad tooth I decided to have it removed 2.5 weeks later I went in for my 2nd appointment and the dentist then said I have to send you to a oral surgeon . And gave me a refill of medicine that did not work the first time. Made me an appointment with a oral surgeon that they suggested and had to wait another week just got home from that and my appointment was canceled yesterday but they forgot to call me now 4 weeks and the tooth is still not fixed

They’ve burned my lip, drilled into the inside of my cheek, drilled when I wasn’t numb and continued when I said I wasn’t numb and I will not be going back. The only reason that I’m giving 2 stars is because the receptionists and some of the other staff were genuinely kind people.
