“I don’t normally do reviews, but this needs addressed. I first want to thank Dr. Svonavec and Dr. Maust for taking excellent care of my pets. Dr. Vince has taken great care of my pets for multiple years and now Dr. Ashley is following in his footsteps.The negative reviews on this google form are almost all not real. AMC responds to most of that with “you have never been to our practice or we cannot find you in our system” - probably because they are not real. AMC also tried their hardest to discuss things personally, which is professional in itself. Haters make that very difficult sometimes. The only other negative comment was from someone who complained about services they couldn’t pay for! Despite h8ters and people talking bad to discredit the practice (and boy are they trying hard!), this is the best practice you will find in Somerset or surrounding areas for compassionate and quality care! In fact, I’ve been referred to specialists for advanced diagnostics and care and the specialists have commented on how much respect they have for AMC and the care/management they provide- the doctors at speciality hospitals actually know them by first names! Some people may comment negatively about how AMC utilizes specialists, I completely disagree. If this was you or your child, you would absolutely want the very best care. You wouldn’t want a family doctor reading your radiographs, you would want a radiologist. I don’t know about you, but that’s what I want for my pets!!!It’s extremely unfortunate that social media plays such a role, however keep in mind that these are real people. Humans. They have dedicated their lives through years of study and effort to provide for our pets. One of the hardest jobs that exist. All I can say is AMC rocks and keep rocking!! Let the h8ters h8te, life always has a funny way of giving people what they deserve! I will continue to spread how awesome AMC is!”

“I had to bring my dog Eli in Monday 9/25/23 for an emergency visit. They let us wait in the car till they were ready and called us to bring him in the side door as my dog gets panicked in the waiting room and can be unpredictable. Brianna was our vet tech and Dr.penny was the vet. Eli really doesn't like the vets he gets very scared and rowdy. The vet (penny) and vet tech(Bri) here at somerset were so compassionate to me and my dog even though he was rowdy and even slipped out of his leash trying to get away from them. He just ran back to the room me and my boyfriend were waiting in and they handle this situation so gracefully. They did what they could for my boy, and he even calmed down a little bit by the time the visit was over. They got me some meds that fixed him up and he's doing so much better, and even some extra meds incase we had some problems down the road. When I left this vet I actually cried happy tears. I cannot express to you how happy I was to have a vet treat me and my dog with such compassion which I'd like to mention my regular vet has never done for my dog as they have suggested a few times that he needed to be put down for his aggression towards the vets. I have never had an aggression issue with my dog at home he just gets terrified at the vets. I would make this vet my regular vet if they are taking new patients but I'm not sure if they were I forgot to ask before I left as I just wanted to get my boy home and better. Somerset is a good 45 minute drive from where I live but I would happily make the drive down there for my dog or cats any day to receive the kind care they provided. The office is also very beautiful and clean. Thank you so much to the staff for their kindness and compassion.”

“I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this vets office yesterday. I live over an hour away and a friend referred me here after I was experiencing some issues with a local vet. I was about to embark on a journey - as my Frenchie was due to have 7-8 puppies. I had experienced some uneasy feelings with the local vet and gave this place a call. From the time they answered the phone I was at complete ease. I explained briefly that my dog was scheduled to have a c section in 3 days and I did not want to proceed with my local vet - would they be able to do it. They reviewed details and were able to schedule me for the date previously scheduled elsewhere. I arrived a little early to my appt. as I was under a little stress from just the whole procedure and never having gone thru it before. The staff made me feel so at ease. They talked to me like a human and was detailed with explaining things of what to expect. When the C-section was over - she ended up having 8 puppies. One of my puppies did not have a real chance of survival and knowing what I had on my hands already offered to attempt to save it by keeping it at the office. Everything about my experience was top notch. They double checked to make sure I was prepared without being condescending. They did an amazing job with the delivery process, the vet noticed my dog had an umbilical hernia and fixed it. The bill was very fair. Dr Stacy is an amazing vet & the staff is friendly!!! Being over an hour away I will take the drive to utilize them for all of my dogs.I would not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone!!! Thank you so much for everything!!!!! ?”

“Upon the suggestion of several friends I drove the almost 2 hour drive to the office. It was spacious, and the front desk was smiling as they greeted me. I was seen by Dr. Svonavec and he was MORE informative than ANY of my previous vets I have seen! I have 7 cats total and most are seniors and super seniors with problems. My 1 cat at this visit has a thyroid problem while the other has a "mystery lump". I have had zero success with diagnosing both cats as well as NO direction from other vets UNTIL NOW! Even before bloodwork and test results we had a plan in play on what to do next. I am over the moon happy with this place and plan on taking ALL my cats here for evaluations and treatment as long as this doctor is still in practice! AND on top of it all the bill was WAY UNDER than expected!”
