I have rented uhauls before and never quite had an experience like this one. He took my information but explained nothing as far as charges went. I swept the truck out before returning it and was still charged $25. When I called he said it was "bad" and then asked if I rented the 10 or 15 foot truck. I told him the 15 and said yeah it was bad. Apparently all trucks returned to him need a good $25 sweeping seeing that he told me it was bad before asking what truck I had. We were in a pinch due to movers not being able to complete the job on the day before. It is ashame this guy takes advantage and charges bogus charges. Avoid at all costs.

Most dishonest and fraudulent experience I have ever had with any business. Literally stole money from me multiple times. Hours after dropping off my truck at this location, I got an email from Ballard stating that I have been charged $128.26 for "cleaning" and "missing furniture pads". I immediately called Ballard U-haul and explained that I never received furniture pads to begin with, and that I had swept out the truck before returning it (I had photos to prove it). The gentleman initially apologized for the "missing furniture pads" and said he would remove them from my bill. He doubled-down on the fact that he "had to sweep out the truck" and that it was TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS TO SWEEP A 20 FOOT TRUCK BED. Low and behold, I check my credit card, and U-Haul, without my permission, charged me $128.26. I called customer service and explained that I never received furniture pads (although I ordered them), which they conceded, and told them I swept the truck. They explained that they would refund me the entire $128.26, which they did. However, a week and a half later, I see a charge on my credit card for $56. from none other than Ballard U-Haul. I contacted U-Haul customer service and ask them what this charge was for and they said $25 for the cleaning fee, and $25 for a LATE FEE (for not paying the cleaning fee!), plus tax. I pointed them to my reference number in which U-Haul had already promised me I would be charged NOTHING. Yet again, they claim that they will be refunding me. It appears that the guy that runs this shop s in the business of scamming people out of their money, by claiming bogus charges, and charging people's credits without consent. Busted, buddy. Never again.

Absolute rudest customer service I've ever encountered. Rented uhaul from him. Took zero time to explain contract or process to me or people renting behind me. He just wanted to get back to his project. Returned truck after hours and dropped key off. Had a $50 "cleaning charge" show up. Called uhaul first who said to call him. Asked what exactly he had to clean. Told me that "I don't have to explain myself to you." Asked if he had any pictures of damage. Was told that was also not his job. I said I thought $50 was excessive even if he had to clean and and I suggested he refund 1/2 and we'd be done with it. He told me "You don't get to decide that and if you have any more complaining call uhaul" then hung up on me. Next day uhaul called me back. Apparently he called them and gave more details then he was willing to give me cause he knew I'd call them myself. Why he couldn't take 2 minutes and explain this to the customer is beyond me. Uhaul rep was very courteous and refunded the cleaning charge this man refused to discuss. If you need a uhaul call close auto sales in grove city. Although they couldn't accommodate me, they were very helpful in finding me a uhaul, Which unfortunately was this man

The business owner had his wife rent us the trailer. She has no idea what she was doing. Waited 45 minutes and still didn’t get the trailer.

Both times I called he was rude.... He doesn't seem to know when he has trucks available....which I'm not really sure why because every other dealer I call knows when they're going to have one and when they're available.... They have a computer but he didn't know if he'd have any next weekend????
