Pulled a Giant Eagle..seems like they permanently shut down their self checkout. Wouldn't matter if they actually staffed an extra employee at the register. So it's like you're down an employee and now the line is permanently twice the length it used to be. Way to go Dollar General. So cheap you'll cut your nose off to spite your face.

Stopped here quick for a toiletry. It took my husband and I multiple isles to find what we needed. The store was just generally unorganized. I know Dollar General’s typically keep some stock out in the boxes (I’m sure due to space shortages), but this store had boxes everywhere!

Dollar General stores are like your kids: you love them to death, so you have to pretend that every song you hear them sing is the best ear candy in the world. But secretly, you just want their voices to be something tangible so you can throw them into the corn fields for all eternity. That's how I feel about Dollar General. Everything seems like a rip off, but chances are, it's the only store within proximity to my temporary house, so I have to like what they have. Otherwise, I'd be freeloading off my neighbor's fridge like I always did before.I'm glad the employees here aren't my children, or else they'd be getting kicked to the moon. The one looked like the devil infested his soul as his facial expression makes Droopy look excited. I'm not buying a $5 bag of Doritos here ever again. Toodles.

I called this store twice just a few minutes ago; I am not sure who answered the call but it was the same girl twice. First time she answered, the line was silent for a few seconds then she said "Hello." I was in the middle of asking my question and she just hung up. Second time she actually said "Slippery Rock Dollar Store how can I help you" or something like that. I asked my question (which was asking for a specific type of battery) and all she said was "no" and just hung up. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

They have an okay selection of things you might need in a pinch and a lot of other junk that no one needs. Staff is friendly but not doing much of keeping their customers safe from spreading germs. A worker was stocking shelves, no mask and coughing everywhere and not even trying to cover his mouth. I think they should try a little harder being busy in a college town by using common sense. Just the common cold and flu are spread so easily this way. Please pass this basic idea to your staff.

It's a Dollar General... Decent prices and selection. You can find a good deal on some quality items if you get there at the right time. FedEx drop off point is handy also. Bathrooms are wretched and don't seem to ever be cleaned which is the reason for 3 star and unsanitary to say the least.
