I wish there was a zero star! I'm usually a laid back person and try to understand but this was unbelievable!! We took our dog here because she could barely walk and Dr. Chris wouldn't listen to a word we said. He said he'd exam her but didn't check any vitals or look at her ears or eyes. He kept shooting all of our concerns down and talking over us. He was very pushy about what we should do even though he barely looked at her and kept insisting we put her down since 'shes old and already has other health issues'. He made a joke and laughed about not wanting to give her too much pain-meds and killing her. He was ruthless and I will make sure nobody i know takes their pets there!!

You can't go wrong at this place. The staff are very friendly and professional. The doctor is extremely nice and you can tell he has a soft spot for animals. I have been going to Shrewsbury veterinary clinic for several years. My dog is extremely healthy and energetic. Thank you.

Accidentally KILLED fur baby & LIED about it- We took our sweet baby to have a tooth pulled at the vet’s recommendation. The vet or staff accidentally left the valve closed on the anesthesia machine, killing our angel. The valve should only to be closed to test for leaks and ALWAYS be opened. I understand everyone makes mistakes, but the vet did lie to us about how she died- telling us it was an allergic reaction (as if we wouldn’t read the surgery report). I recommended the use of a safer valve and he said they have one on order.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!.
The vet is careless and it resulted in losing our beloved family dog. Then we were lied to about what happened to cause her to die during the routine tooth procedure. Avoid this vet at all cost!

Old school , run down, dirty office and surgical rooms. Chipped paint , old dated machines. Vet was cold mannered and rude. Had no sympathy at all.

First visit there...Dr. Chris knew his stuffs, great advice and truly did thorough exam. Hadn't had a puppy in 12 years so the tips and tricks fully explained helped out alot!

We are new to the area, and to the practice, and have had a great experience with Dr. Chris and his staff. We were previously traveling to our former vet an hour away in Columbia, MD so that we could keep our doxie on her allergy treatment plan, but the drive can be dreadful. Thankfully Dr. Chris allowed us to transfer her current regimen without interruption, and gave us some very helpful direction for our middle-aged husky-mix. Very happy that we found a great vet locally!
