“Cogos is the best.. They have the cheapest cigarettes and milk around. Also find myself buying their lunch meat and cheese it's cheaper than any grocery store and always cut fresh. I'd rather drive to cogos to get snacks, etc than any other convenience store. They always have fresh hot foods cooked. And they have good deals on a lot of things as well. They have an app which is very helpful sometimes. Gives you free stuff and good coupons all the time.. definitely recommend going here for your quick needs like cigs and milk & pop etc.”

“I haven't been here in years. Went to the Washington Rd location a few days ago! We loved everything about it. Fresh food, amazing staff, and a very welcoming vibe. This will definitely be our monthly spot. Our cashier Jennifer was amazing. She went above and beyond especially once she learned it was our first time at that location. They even gave us free flowers. I was really impressed. I can't wait to go back! Thx you guys❤️”

“I absolutely love Trader Joe's! I just wish there was one in my area. It is well worth the patience & time to squeeze down the aisles at busy times & navigate the maze of people to find just what you're looking for. Sometimes when I come with a list, all of the items are not carried & sometimes prices on certain items are a little higher than other competitors. In the fall I love the abundance of Pumpkin flavored items & after Thanksgiving I appreciate all of the unique holiday items perfect for gift giving!”

“I loveeeee this place. They have both salads and sandwiches MTO as well as homemade hot and cold items. All of the MTO items I have gotten have been delicious. The Brussel sprouts in the cold items are amazing. Anytime I am dt I always stop to see if they have Brussels. Would recommend for lunch. Guys behind the counter are great at service and making food.”

“Just like the old Wagners in Bakerstown. Only thing is that it doesn't have that sawdust smell of the old Wagners!! I got their stuffed pork chop, no green stuffing!! But, it tasted AMAZING!!”

“at Aldi I have come to expect to see cilantro for 89 cents but just recently I noticed they started carrying parsley. Two types of fresh herbs they sell throughout the year! Product variety is very small. They carry one or two brands, often store brands, of something. Produce is good, fresh, and cheap, and except for the stockers' tendency to throw everything (apples, potatoes, mangos, into to the bin) which I have seen done at ALL stores in the Pgh area. They carry a lot of frozen vegan items, as well as things like cauliflower dough pizza, tofu, etc. I like their flexibility to open up a new lane (listen and learn, Giant Eagle). Prices are sometimes 30-40% lower than the Yost Blvd Giant Eagle up the street. Their cart area is always all trashed out and someone needs to be go there everyday cleaning up the area.”

“Not the largest I've been too but it always has everything I need at a good price. Comparable to larger grocery stores. The staff is friendly and it is never so busy to be annoying. The check outs are not many and the line area is a bit small. There is a large parking lot right outside; the markings are a bit faded so be cautious that the lanes are acting one way.Overall a good grocery store but if you want more selection then I suggest a larger store.”

“My girlfriend and I came here all the way from Southern California. We are huge Mac Miller fans, so obviously frick park market was a must go on our trip to the Burg. The atmosphere and staff was great. They treated us like we were regulars. The sandwich was awesome, if you are in the area frick park market is definitely the place you need to check out.”

“I love this store, I love the workers, and I looooove their prepared foods in the back! YUM! Got some potato salad, boars head lunch meats and cheeses, and a nice heap of their eggplant parm! Wow oh wow, you won't be disappointed. Also, gluten free? They have some gluten free raviolis and meatballs in their freezer section, along with other easy quick reheat dinners (not gf) ...look no further, this is your one stop shop to get your little Italy on! Fyi, their home made sausage is simply the best, and it's easy to cook in a crock pot with tomato sauce and peppers for game day, or any other occasion that you need extraordinary sausage for !”

“Best Italian store anywhere. Everything's always fresh, great variety, and the prices are good.Love the fried hot peppers. They limit quantities of them, which sucks because my money is the same as the next person's. If I want a big container, I should be allowed to pay for it, but they limit how much you can buy. If you want a large container ( i think its a lb )...you have to order it in advance or you can'thave it.”

“Most of the "Market District" branded Giant Eagles are nice and this one is no exception. The bathrooms were clean. They were fully stocked on a random Monday night. I used self checkout and it went smoothly as well. On a scale of Giant Eagle, I give this a full wingspan.”

“This Aldis is one of the nicer ones in the North Hills. They are usually well stocked and since they put in self serve registers, the line are a lot shorter. They used to suffer with long lines and no help. The Aldi's has the best stocked produce and meat department around”

“Everything is always in stock. There are some items I will only buy brand name. Their brands are better than Wal-Mart's generic. The only problem was that a cashier was screaming while checking out customers every time a register was open. To me, that's ignorant.”

“I’ve never had any problems here people working here are always helpful. The have a Giant Eagle Pharmacy. I get all my scripts here. The Deli prices are reasonable and the international foods section is fairly large. I like certain products that only they carry locally. I do most of my shopping here.”

“I love this place!! Good prices, and very good deli and butcher shop! They have very good meats and the prices on things are better or just the same. But I love the setting and the staff is great!”

“My go to. I don't shop, so I'm a long time curbside/delivery patron at the local grocery stores. However, when it is absolutely necessary to go into a store this is where I go. It's close to home, its clean, there's a large variety of items and a friendly staff. The best part is I'm in and out in less than 10 minutes.”

“Love coming here to peruse the shelves and get new things to try! I’m a creature of habit so being able to go and taste helps me try new things and they are always super helpful. They have a wide selection, I’m always pleased to see they have single cans just in case you don’t want to commit to a six or twelve pack of something you may not like. Also the staff is just super nice, good people, and always pleasant to talk to while you browse. This is a must visit place for non-alcoholic beverages if you’re in Pittsburgh, visitor or resident.”

“Limited shopping here, but immediate fan of the space. They carry Leona's Ice Cream Sandwiches. Many, many varieties. Small menu items from the deli and looked like you can order them on the spot, so fresh!Lots of cheeses, crackers, oils, pasta salad, juices, yogurt, fruit. Just about anything you can need in a well packed space.Service was super nice too.Open 10am on Sundays.”

“Its a great place to shop “Soviet” food with great variety. Small store, not as huge as Netcost Market in NY, but carries everything that my soviet soul needs. The owners are wonderful and hardworking people, never experience any rudeness or any other unpleasant experience. In response to some Mary: I shop there very often and never got any expired products. Funny that you mentioned Jmart: they are the ones with shelves full of expired products. Do you want to ask me how I know?”

“We had a great experience with Lauren! We came into the shop with an idea of what we wanted, and Lauren took the time to take us through an educational tasting that resulted in us making some extra purchases. She was so kind and knowledgeable about the product. She didn't push us to buy anything but let us enjoy the experience. We will be returning in the future and will definitely want her recommendations.”

“Went to this corner market for the first time yesterday in search of a good deli sandwich. Found one! I got a Turkey club on havarti - it was toasted and all the ingredients fresh. The guy at the deli counter was super friendly. While I was there I picked up 2 pre-made dinners (portions were easily for 2) --- pumpkin risotto & pasta bolognese. Each were $13.95 - which seems reasonable to me. My sandwich was $7.99 - pretty cheap. My husband & I didn't feel like cooking last night, so the risotto was quickly employed & it was really tasty! Perfectly cooked. The fresh bread was nearly gone, so I didn't get to grab something for dinner but was super satisfied with my choice. The prices weren't high - they seemed perfectly on par with a corner market where convenience is a premium. My only bad experience was with the fantastically UN-friendly cashier who seemed to go out of her way to be unfriendly & boy was she good at it. Really sad that *that* is what greets you when u go in. I'll definitely be back and am hoping that maybe she was just having a bad day.”

“I did make it to the Italian market and it was much closer than I had anticipated. I decided on a yinzer sandwich. If you're not aware, 'yinz' is a totally Pittsburgh thing akin to y'all in the south. We also love our chipped ham, known as chipped chopped ham in other areas. Our hometown Isley's stores, which were very popular years ago, had their own branding of ice cream and other treats. The chipped ham thing is well known and appreciated in these parts. The 'Yinzer' was piled high with chipped ham on a hoagie roll, (also available as a smaller sandwich on a round sandwich bun), and I was given several options. I had mine dressed with some American cheese, lettuce, tomato and peppers. I couldn't wait and scarfed down half of it at the local farmer's market, where I was working. I got mayo on the side, but never used it. It was great as it was. When I say 'piled high', I'm not exaggerating. The meat to bun to cheese to vegetables wasn't even close. The meat dominated the sandwich and I have to say that I was loving it. It is the way I would make my own at home. I would have slathered it with mayo, and I intend to do just that on my next trip, but I was nice and gave my other half to David. He also loved it. It was the taste of my past. A lot of people don't get it and probably never will. First, the local store compresses the meat, as in squeezes the air out and jams the meat into a lump. You can't do chipped ham that way. It has to be fresh sliced very thin and picked up by hand or with tongs to avoid squeezing the air out. When done right, there is a huge difference in flavor and texture. This one was done right. I want to go back right now and get another one. They also had their own homemade pasta sauce and Mancini's bread, which gives you enough of a reason to shop there. The only downside is that hot sandwiches are only listed as specials on certain days of the week. On weekends the menu is strictly cold sandwiches, but there is a decent variety. Still, I'd like to try the sausage and meatballs, so I can only wish they were available on the weekends. If I recall correctly, some of these items are available to be reheated at home. There is also a full deli. The place is very clean, the staff friendly and welcoming, and the prices are average. In some specialty convenience stores, things get marked up beyond reason. That isn't the case here. They even have spice mixes at better prices than the grocery stores. A large container of Italian seasoning was just $3.50. I'll be back soon. I only wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.”

“WOW! This is my very first time in Pittsburgh, and this was our first stop. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but saw this place had good reviews so we decided to drive there. It's a small little Italian shop and deli. We each got an Italian sub aka The Patsy, and a box of pierogis. We sat at the big family style table they had by the drink coolers, and had a very enjoyable conversation with Patsy himself! I could not recommend this place any more, their hospitality and service was impeccable. If you're looking for a delicious sandwich or Italian snack, THIS IS IT!!”
