My wife and I brought our 7-week-old Corso puppy to DELCO Veterinary two years ago, not knowing what to expect. From the very first visit, we were treated like family! Dr. Mapp and her team—Steve, Sue, and Kim—provide exceptional care. Their service has been consistently outstanding. We wholeheartedly recommend them, 10/10!!!

I first came to this vet for a time sensitive issue and continued going out of convenience. At first I was annoyed by how long it took to be seen even with an appointment, and then I’d wait 30+ minutes just to check out at the end! Organization was seriously lacking from the start. A week ago I took my cat for a check up (she was on blood pressure medication) and I had additional concerns about her lack of appetite, not going to the bathroom, etc. The vet gave her an edema and a blood test. I was told that her kidneys weren’t doing too great and her potassium was low. We were given an appetite stimulant, told to get her potassium gel, and feed her kidney healthy foods (chicken, steak, rice). There was zero follow up after this visit, though I was told there would be. My cat was given back to me covered in her own feces and I wasn’t given any instruction on how to care for her following this procedure. I had to lock her in my bathroom for 3+ hours, because she couldn’t stop pooping. I felt absolutely terrible for her. She refused to take any medication or eat for the following 4 days. I set up another appointment at a different vet to get a second opinion. Turns out my cat was actively in kidney failure, heart failure, had bad teeth/gums, and an abscess on her gums which likely contributed to her other ailments. Due to her old age and the severity of her issues, we made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. I’m blown away that the team at Delco Veterinary Hospital didn’t catch ANY of these issues, considering we had been taking our cat there since March!!!!! The lack of care, organization, competence, and thoughtfulness is ASTOUNDING. Do not take your precious fur babies here.

Happy with the veterinarian however the woman that answers the phone does not know how to speak to people. I called to ask for an invoice for my dog’s visit and she acted like I was inconveniencing her. She hung up the phone without even asking for any of my information then when I called back her attitude was very distasteful. We won’t be returning.

If you're looking for someone to tell you "nice" lies about what is going on with your pet, go some place else. If you're looking for an expert with ALL the knowledge and experience necessary to properly care for your pet, Dr. Mapp at Delco Veterinary is your person. She's direct, no nonsense and is as good as it gets, but don't expect to be coddled. She saves all the coddling for your fur baby. Her support staff is helpful, kind and knowledgeable. My dog has had emergency surgery twice in her office with no complications. Yes, the office is small and a little tight, but my dog has never complained. Dr Mapp does X-rays, bloodwork, tests etc.. right in the office. I like the fact that she sits down with you and just lets you talk about why you came to her office. It's her way of really figuring out exactly what your pet needs, and what she needs to do to make your pet better. She and her assistants literally saved my dog's life, which I'm grateful for, because Cookie is my baby, and my grandson's big sis. My grandson's bigger now and just became a cat-dad! His new kitty is Ginger. Of course Dr. Mapp and the crew are taking excellent care of her. She's had a physical, her first two shots, and was just spayed at the office. Not that it matters, but the price is always right. They understood my grandson was very worried during the procedure, and even though she woke up late, they remembered to give us a call to assure him she was fine.

If I could give zero stars I would. But I'll give one star to the receptionist and the man who is also there to help with the dogs. My appointment was at 12pm. I arrived 15 minutes early and the vet was 25 minute late. I was the first appointment of the day. Not only did the vet not acknowledge me at first she was rude and arrogant after letting me know what she observed from the exam. She was very snippy and obnoxious. She talked to me as if I needed to seek elsewhere help for the rest of my dogs diagnostic. I then proceeded to ask her okay do I need to take my dog to a vet hospital because you are saying this as if you can't help her. She then proceeded to get overly snippy at me and say "no I never said that we do these things here." When I asked for the pricing of the diagnostic for my dog she gave a ludicrous number. She couldn't give me a correct pricing at the top of her head and had to use a calculator to come up with this number. I did not continue service, if I did I would have told her off. I understand dogs needs can be very expensive and I would have no problem paying the price she gave however not for a place like this. With the main vet being so rude and arrogant. She probably needs to retire this is obviously not the right field for her to be in. I regret spending the exam price in the place because if anything it should be shut down. The rest of the staff has good enough customer service. If you would like actually help for your pet TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Will never be returning again!! Mind you the place is falling apart. Part of the ceiling is missing and it stinks in there. And the vet should have an attitude adjustment as the first customer of the day and the vet already being almost a half hour late this is not what I expected.

The service here is remarkable. The staff and doctors are willing to listen and help assist with your pets medical needs. I been bringing my cat here for almost 6 months and I have to say I never left upset. When there are a high volume of pets please be patient with them. They will appreciate that. They have services like grooming and dorms as well for your pets needs.

I am APPALLED at this vet office. My husband accompanied our neighbor/friend to have his beloved dog put down. The staff there was rude and insensitive. His dog was suffering and had cancer. Yet the staff tried to convince him to just pay for another surgery and see how it goes, but his poor dog was utterly suffering. When they finally listened to him with his wishes to put his dog down they asked him if he wanted to keep the ashes. Our friend said no and rather than discretely noting that, the vet just called out “public cremation” to the staff. My husband was appalled to say the least. When our friend started crying and saying he had hoped it wasn’t cancer, the vet just responded with “well I told you it was sooooo.” Disgusting.
