“One of my favorite places for having a catalog of wines from all over the world and with a wide spectrum of prices! For all pockets!!! They have a team always willing to help and very trained! And the best thing is that every week they educate their clients for free with wine tastings where knowledge, culture, anecdotes and palate training are mixed.”
“Great selection, and the fact that you can take your child with you and both walk out happy (myself with beer, them with pokemon cards) is outstanding. A+ in all aspects.”
“Was a decent place to get beer until a manager told me to leave after I questioned his decision to sell beer that went from cold to warm after their fridges went out. He called me elitist for saying I write beer reviews. Not sure how you can be elitist for that, but okay. I did a bit of research on this subject after the manager responded (which was nice of him) and I stand partially corrected. It turns out that beer can go from cold to warm and not get 'skunked,' but in my experience--and many others'--there's a taste difference after going from cold to warm that's notable. It wasn't exactly cold in the shop; it was warm. But I'll err on the side of saying I have learned something from this exchange and I'll adjust my rating accordingly.”
“This place has undergone a complete overhaul this past year and it is now my favorite. The new owner is so knowledgable about beer and is so friendly and customer focused. It's a good place and the best little beer stop you'll find.”
“So much to choose from!!! Wall to wall every beer or IPA you can think of. Even picked up a few bottles of Verdi sparkling raspberry wine. Made my day day!Gift cards are made while you wait, no chance of someone stealing the numbers.Staff is friendly and helpful!! I highly recommend stopping by!”
“Not just a great place for beer (they have a real nice selection), but a great place for soda pop too. My go to place when I need a case of locally-made Red Ribbon Pop (I special ordered the Bitter Lemon, but some flavors are in stock), or Mexican Coke (made with real sugar and no HFCS), in glass bottles. Friendly staff ... Cheers!!”
“Very good selection of beer including craft beer brands like Founders, Bells and Lawson's. Staff has been helpful finding beer and knowing their inventory which is helpful given the huge selection.”

1106 Park Manor Blvd, Pittsburgh“Great store. Huge selection of wines and spirits here. From all the mixers to the accents. Your next occasion will be off right after a visit here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Wish they were all like this. I recommend this store for anyone looking to quench a strong thirst.”
“This store has a nice staff that will try to help you the best they can. This is a small store that has your most basic wine & spirits. It is state owned as are all Pennsylvania FWGSs. This is your basic FWGS, that carries your most common found products. If you are looking for niche wines & spirits, this is not your store. If looking for niche products, then go to The Premium FWGS stores in Cranberry or Sewickley. The store in Baden is a great choice when you need your basic stuff. It is basically a convenience store for booze. It stocks most of your common iconic brands for the most common wine & spirits categories. Their hours are 11:00AM - 7:00PM Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays. Give them a try, they will be glad to help you.”
9AM - 8PM
933 Sheraton Dr, Mars“This place has a huge selection! Even on imports. I purchased the equipment to convert my tap system to Guinness (not from here). I needed the "Guinness gas (75% nitrogen 25% CO2)"and figured I'd call and see if they sold such a thing. The person who answered was extremely helpful. He said they usually keep a few of those tanks in stock. I also asked if he had any Guinness barrels in stock. He went and checked for me (they did). So when I went there to get the barrel and the tank it was already pulled and ready to go! Great place and good prices.”
“Well worth my Uber ride from my hotel. Great selection. The guys were knowledgeable, friendly and I loved their suggestions. I went with the Troeganator and Mad Elf. Took some back to Arkansas!”
“Since moving into the Emsworth/Ben Avon/Bellevue area (2019), I have bought my ciders and hard lemonade from only Shadeland. Every person who works there is helpful, courteous, and friendly -- no doubt trickle-down from Michelle!”
“Picked up a couple cases of Irons here on my way through Pittsburgh, can't say enough good about the place! Friendly, fast, and helpful. Asked if they had cases if IC, the fellow there said, "Well, yeah!" I shoulda known haha. Grabbed a couple and headed out, caught them right before they closed, but no problems.”
“Great drive thru experience!! Staff had masks and gloves. I personally had a list in my trunk, ID and credit card. They pulled my order and put payment back in trunk. NO CONTACT! Great prices and huge selection!”
“My favorite liquor store in Las Vegas, now here in Pittsburgh. The prices are still very competitive and they have good deals on seasonal liguor.Store employees are all pleasant and helpful.”
“The staff at this store are the best! They always greet me, know what I'm looking for and offer help if needed. Very friendly and make it a great experience!”
“It is great to have a resource in Pennsylvania that understands and know spirits and wines and the history of the fine beverage industry. Always A1 professionalism, no matter what location you go to.”
“I purchased a case of Iron City beer as tradition of beer that’s a local brew. Came in and was assisted immediately. Staff were cool to talk to and were well versed in beer along with their cigar selection. I would definitely recommend coming here due to service and they are very well versed in products. I will enjoy my purchase and will try my best to hit this established store when I’m back in the area!”
“Small store in small town. Friendly folks. Parking is easy and they won't be super busy. All the staples you'll need. Had Sazerac allocated rye bourbon just sitting there, 2 bottle limit at MSRP. You can't beat that folks. Absolutely worth a stop if you need something. Recommended”
“Small stores typically don't have good selections, not FWGS! I'm mostly a whiskey/whisky, scotch, bourbon man, with decent wine on the side. I only drink top shelf, and have it...they DO; Jameson's, Johnnie Blue, Craig, Knob, Glen Fiddich, Macallan, Makers Mark, and much more. I round out my bar for my guests with Blue Sapphire gin, Lukshoshova TRUE potato vodka. Tanqueray, Don Q rum, Patron Silver tequila, and more. My ONLY ding is that they don't carry one of my favorite bourbons: Blanton's (you have to go to Monaca for that one). They offer a very nice, albeit not tippety top shelf wine selection; perfect for good dinners, dinner parties, and that special occasion, but not for your epicurean and wine conniseur. For that, order online anyway. As for the novice? Picking wine, or anything for that matter, is made very simple in this store: the best is displayed on the TOP SHELF and the BETTER of the BEST ascends in price, so pick top shelf and upwards in price as to what you're willing to afford. One caveat? They occasionally have great sales, buy anything on the top shelf that is, and you'll not be disappointed. AS FOR THE STAFF? A+++ They are courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and share good advice. They'll even carry it to your car for you! Buy here! I love them...you will too!”

125 Town Center Dr #500, Wexford“Hands down the best FWGS store! The employees are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable the manager is one of the nicest employees I’ve encountered! Will drive past 3 FWGS to shop at this one because it’s such a great store”
“Owned and operated by veterans, this place is worth your support! They keep the store clean and stocked, and are always very kind! Thanks for everything guys! ??”
11AM - 9PM
10624 Perry Hwy, Wexford“I stopped by here looking for some Dancing Gnome on 11/4 around 4:30 and the clerk was super helpful. They didn’t have much in stock but it sounds like the brewery doesn’t send much out to local distributors. He offered me a cardboard box to help carry them to my car and even opened the door for me! Please give him a raise ?”
9AM - 9PM
5990 University Boulevard, Coraopolis“I named my daughter Morgan because that's what I was drinking when I conceived her (Captain Morgan). I am glad to have a have a local retailer that is accessible and offers a variety.”
“Hours of operation are spotty. Online it will say open until 5 PM but at 3:45 PM they're closed. Parking is difficult as there's no parking lot and you must find a curbside spot. It's a small store so selections are limited. The workers are courteous and helpful. The workers are the only reason I gave them 4 instead of 3 stars.”
“10.1 / 10. Great selection and staff recommendations are at worst solid across the board. Get to know everybody for sure and they'll give you solid heads-up.”
