Dr. Petras was amazing! Dr. Petras was very gentle with my little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring. All of the staff were completely amazing, kind, considerate, and easy to speak with. I look forward to their continued care of my little guy Copper!

This is still a locally owned Vet that actually still cares about your pet and not a money making opportunity! Highly recommend Franklin Park Veterinary for honest care of your family pet!

My dog HATES vets, but she took really well to Dr. Petras and her team. Very friendly and ‘homey’ environment. If my dog likes it here, yours likely will too!

Vet performed a thorough examination of our dog. He was easy to talk with and explained his diagnosis and treatment plan thoroughly. His fees are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

With out a doubt, the most compassionate and caring staff! Unfortunately today was one of the hardest days…. But I was reassured many times that my decision was the best for my kitty. I will forever be grateful to the doctors and staff!

Both doctors and all the techs are very friendly and professional. There is never a long wait and all questions or concerns are addressed and resolved every time. I've brought my pets here for almost 8 years and would never switch practices!

Was very happy with past treatment of my dog but he has since passed. Got a new puppy and unfortunately two years post pandemic the world has moved forward but this office STILL does not allow you in for your pet’s appointments. I have no idea how my puppy behaves at her appointments. Most communication is via phone or pick up RX in a drop off box outside. I cannot help but feel like it has become a Vet “drive thru”(Which is unfortunate). The majority of other vet offices I called are allowing you to attend their in office visits . I really haven’t had an opportunity to even meet the newest vet at this place because there is absolutely NO interaction. I hope they start moving forward or I am going to have to move on. I hope that they open their doors again to the owners of these little fur babies.

This lady Vet has the personality of a door nail.First of all she tells me my cat’s wound is healing. Next visit she says we need to amputate and it is very dire. Next visit I wanted to discuss euthanasia because it was so dire last time according to her and the wound looks worse currently. So now she tells me I need to RELINQUISH my cat to a tech because she can’t euthanize for CONVENIENCE.I have never been so INSULTED in my life. I adore my kitty and have been in anguish thinking that that is the best option for her based upon the path that this Vet has lead me down. The Vet should have asked why am I feeling this way and offer other suggestions to get my cat to health. Like maybe transfer to a higher acuity facility. If she had READ THE CHART she would have seen our regular Vet has been dealing with my cats self inflicted / over grooming wounds for years and we have been seen every other 2-3 months for years. I am only wanting my kitty to get better and need suggestions NOT to “amputate”. NOT to “relinquish” or ACCUSE me of “convenience” euthanasia. Ridiculous and insulting. She is horrible and talking to me in the parking lot thru my car window and acting rushed. I incredibly unsolicited absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. I don’t know what is wrong with this vet. I tried to call Dr Larimer but was unsuccessful. I am horrified at being spoken to in the manner she thinks is professional. What a crock. SDominique

Here is a personal experience at Franklin Vet. The lady Vet is completely detached from objectivity and caring for a beloved cat and the family trying to care for her. Our cat had a chronic wound from an E-collar that damaged a tendon being treated by our regular vet. We are in the area temporarily. -SECOND visit the lady Vet wants the leg AMPUTATED. -THIRD visit lady Vet now wants me to RELINQUISH my cat to her TECH. Because I asked aboit Euthanasia after her dire diagnosis last visit. And I wont agree to amputation. I have NEVER ever heard of anything so heart wrenching or ridiculous. What if someone didn't know any better? She would take someone's beloved pet away? This lady Vet is out of control with bias and conflict of interest.
