This place is bigger than it appears. Things are generally grouped by ~theme~. There’s an upstairs and a basement. It is a bit musty, and you will have to dig in some areas.
Prices are fair, and if it’s not marked, just ask the lady at the front. As of this writing (June 2024) the entire store is 50% off.

The is place is a “digger-root throughers” paradise! It is absolutely loaded with all sorts of treasure! The prices were great and the lady and her younger staff member were super friendly. When you open the front door it looks a bit of a mess but you will find that the place is actually grouped by common treasures. The walkways are tight but don’t let that scare you away! I loved finding this gem of a store and will definitely go back!! I wish I would have taken pictures but was too involved in my treasure hunting to grab a pic!! I can’t wait to go back!

More like a Hoarders home than a thrift store. Overpriced clutter everywhere. Can barely walk through the place with stuff on the floor, on the stairs, along the hallways. Upstairs is a joke. Place is a hazard.

I like this place and enjoy walking through it anytime I am in the area. It is what it is. Cindy has amassed a large variety of useful stuff, and as others have noted, it is organized to an extent I know which rooms I want to dig through to find the kinds of things I collect. Last time I was there I found a wonderful old yellow ware bowl to add to my collection, as well as a vintage tea tin I just love! I don't always find something, but there is stuff there to find!

Something for everyone! It was truly an amazing experience to visit 38 South Thrift Store. There's three floors of treasures to find, and the prices are very fairly priced. They also have a whole warehouse of more items, so they're e always restocking with new items!

Tons and tons of items. Very few items are actually priced. Lady made up prices off the top of her head. Not willing to negotiate at all. Over priced. Should not call this a thrift store. Actually it’s probably a fire hazard. Two people can not pass I. The hallways because of so much junk. So much stuff is just piled on the floors and impossible to look at. Never seen so much junk in one place ever but no bargains on my visit.

Wow, if you like to dig for treasures this is the place for you! It is a hoarders paradise! It's somewhat organized by types of items, but some rooms are heaped in stuff and difficult to maneuver through. Room after room of everything you can imagine. We did have fun weaving in and out of piles of stuff and managed to find a few treasures. The outside of this place is deceiving. There are many, many rooms an upstairs and a basement full, full,full!
