Called last week. Had an appointment set up for this morning between 10 am and 11am for an estimate on a new roof. Nobody showed up and when I called at noon to see what the issue was the phone call went directly to ananswering machine and nobody has returned a call back. a complete waste of my time and an inconvenience for my tenants..And it was the owner John Connor who was supposed to be giving the estimate...Definitely would not even consider using this company for anything in the future..Very poor business practices. Unfortunately these things happen when trying to use a small local business..They even chose the estimate time frame. Must be too busy to care about their reputation.

I would highly recommend anyone to use Shamrock construction. From the estimate to completion, this company was professional, courteous, and extremely easy to work with. I have been waiting for almost two years with many failed attempts at finding someone and this company really came through. I couldn’t be happier with the work that has been done. I will definitely be using them again. Thank you again for the amazing work you have done!Services: Porch construction

A solid team that is quite busy; between signing the contract and start time was about 5-6 months. Their price was on par with other bids we got, so it was neither a bargain nor a rip off. We did a big roof gable job that also involved plumbing, electric, and drywall. The biggest part of the job--the roof tear-off and rebuild--was impressively done quickly, neatly, and with all hands on deck. This speed was crucial, as it is the most nerve racking part, to have your house open to the elements, with only tarps in between. There were some communication hiccups, but John was swift to make them right.

We have had a quick response from Shamrock when we contacted him about the custom build home we were considering. We were impressed with John Jr. from the get-go. Shamrock gave us a start date a few months out and he was there with his crew before that date. The first step in our building process is to determine the best floor plan that fits our budget and lifestyle. My wife drew up the floor plans and Shamrock Construction had their draftsman rework her plans to local building specifications and codes. We still can’t believe we were able to own such a beautiful house for the amount that Shamrock quoted, expecting there must be a hidden charge somewhere—but there wasn’t! Well done, Shamrock!” I would rate them as the most reliable builder in our area." “We couldn’t be more pleased with our new home! “Our supervisor John Sr was unequivocally wonderful! He maintained high expectations and quality workmanship throughout the entire process. He is very talented, organized, has great foresight, amazingly considerate, and extremely kind. “There are no words to describe how impressed I am with Shamrock Construction. John Jr. is fantastic to work with. He never hesitated to answer our questions and was always prompt and candid with his responses. We have invited all of our friends and family members to contact Shamrock Construction, knowing they will be just as thrilled as we are. So many of our neighbors stop by and tell us how clean the construction site was during the building process. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They made the entire process from beginning to end so easy!” “How many builders will let you change your floor plan? We did change things multiple times. Choosing to build a custom-built home on your land is one of the most exciting decisions you’ll ever make. Choosing Shamrock construction custom builders is the smartest.Paul & Shirley Walsh Greenfield TWP

I would highly recommend Shamrock Construction Company. We have utilized their services twice to replace certain windows in our home that was built in 1939. Their estimates were very competitive. They completed the work on a timely basis. Finally, they were very neat - no cleanup by us. We were completely satisfied with the work both times and we would confidently recommend their services.

Job took place in January 2020. Shamrock broke my thermostat and control wire. Called, texted and emailed John Connor daily. Waited at least a month with no response. I had to buy and install new thermostat and control wire. Still have not received a callback on this issue or any offer to repay me for my extra costs to finish the job they were paid to do. After a few months (May/June) began noticing the flooring they installed was cracking and shifting. My wife ran into John who agreed to come take a look at the flooring. He came to our home in August and agreed the flooring was installed incorrectly and he would repair. Began calling the office weekly to leave messages since previous direct calls to John Connor were ignored. It is now 3 months later with no callbacks and no contact of any kind.

So, I needed a window replaced, I called Mesko glass and purchased the window and this is the company they used for the install. When John Conner from Shamrock construction showed up to measure the window, we got to talking and he said they did entry way doors as well. So he measured the door, emailed me his estimate, a picture of a few doors, and I accepted it. We spoke on the phone and he said they would do the door on the same day they did the window. Three months later the guys show up with the window(not their fault manufacturing was behind) and no door. One of the installers called John and he said he forgot about it and would be in touch. After a week went by, I have called several times, emailed them several times and have not heard a peep from them. Not a call, not an e-mail nothing. So now I am behind on my project because these folks cannot pick up a phone. The guys who put in the window did a good job, but I am quite sure they wanted to protect their Mesko glass contract. As far as calling them and booking a project with them, I wouldn't bother. They have no interest in any communication with you at all. Find another contractor, one that will help you get your project done. Since this is the only place I can respond to your comments I will add this. If you actually read my review you will see that I mentioned how many times I tried to get in touch with you before I finally said, if I don't hear from you by Tuesday I will go with another company. This seems to be a common problem in all of the negative reviews is you can't communicate. Since in all of your negative reviews your comments are that its always the customers fault, I will offer you a fix for this review. I still have your estimate, honor it, get in touch and schedule what you told me you were going to do. Do a good job, and do the job you said you were going to do. You can leave your comments here, and I will adjust my review. It is certainly not my fault that you can't respond to a phone call, or an e-mail explaining the situation. In fact it seems like in all of your negative reviews reaching out to your potential customers seems to be a major flaw in your business model.Service: Window installation
