Says the lobby/main building is open till 5pm Monday-Friday. Walk up at 4pm to find the door locked. No reason posted such as a special holiday or something. If you’re locking your doors earlier than posted maybe post a reason why or change the hours

In all honesty, horrible bank, through help at the front desk or getting locked out of your bank account twice. I've had NBT for roughly 2 years, and I definitely plan on switching banks sadly. I suggested my girlfriend NBT, and it was a brutal mistake. As we approached the front desk for help with a secured credit for her to apply with, all we were left with was a paper and told to do it online. However, when she switched to fedility, the lady applied at the place for her ! But that's only the start. They needed identification proof, so we had a paralegal that uses fax machines every day fax over the needed information. So we waited, and we called them up and guessed what they didn't receive it, so we restarted the process and once again didn't receive it. So by the time we tried 3 times!!!! They said sorry ran out of time. Overall, I couldn't even get a secured credit card or help at the front desk. When we went to fedility Bank, it was all processed and went through in 2 weeks. we had a credit card everything easy! I've been locked out for no reason twice from my bank account as well, just 2024 Easter day ! I had to sit on the phone for 8 minutes while at work to tell her to do it, and she was saying "sorry your just mumbling and whispering!"

I called and the woman was very helpful but the phones are not good quality, they were staticky and it was very difficult to understand what was said.

I've had NBT bank for 2 years now after switching from NET. The bank tellers are very polite. I was in a jam and they allowed my account to overdraft to cover my rent. I am very grateful. It's nice to know NBT bank has you covered!

This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.
