I purchased a treadmill and a bike in 2013. I chose this store over a chain store or a sporting goods store because of the expertise of the salesman in the Scranton store and the quality of the equipment. I paid extra for the assembly and delivery of the equipment. In 2016, I had movers come to take the treadmill apart and move it to a different location. I was standing in the room when they tried to remove the top and the 6 bolt heads were rounded out and the allen wrench would not work to turn them. I phoned into service and talked to Chris who told me I should go buy new bolts at the hardware store. I asked if he would replace him since his installers made the mistake when they put the machine together initially. His response was, "how do I know your movers didn't ruin the bolts" and I should just go get them myself, they are $2.00 worth of bolts. I do not feel this is an acceptable response to a customer who purchased a treadmill AND a bike on the same day and paid for assembly and delivery. If the cost of 6 ruined allen head bolts is so little, why wouldn't a store make a customer happy and order new bolts? The sales department is wonderful but the service department is lacking in courtesy and good business practice. After looking into purchasing bolts, they are $8.50 for a set of 4 to order onlinle. I would need two sets to get 8 bolts costing me $17.00 and a 10 day wait for standard shipment or a trip to a specialty hardware store looking for six M8 x 60mm roundhead countersunk bolts. These are specialty bolts, most hardware stores will not carry this thread/length combination in a roundhead countersunk bolt. This is certainly more involved than $2.00 worth of bolts from the hardware store like the service manager Chris told me. I am disappointed in the quality of the service.
