The Electric City Trolley Museum provides a fun-filled, educational, and inexpensive day out. The collection offers a highly representative picture of the electric railway history of Eastern Pennsylvania and is nice to see, with interesting trolleys that have been transformed from trash to beauty. Visitors can explore the museum building with lots to read or walk around the outside collection. A key attraction is the wonderful and really awesome scenic trolley excursion. The ride follows a portion of the former Laurel Line right-of-way, parallels Roaring Brook, and proceeds past amazing sights not seen from anywhere else, including the Historical Iron Furnaces, a closed mine entrance, and three-step falls. It continues through the Crown Avenue Tunnel, one of the longest interurban tunnels ever built at almost one mile long. The trolley gets up to serious speed and the ride is amazing. The museum is a must-see and do, with a neat children's area featuring a giant table with placeable wooden buildings. All trolley excursions depart from the main passenger platform of the Steamtown National Historic Site. It is a great place to bring family and friends.
This museum is so cool! There are plenty of different artifacts and the collection is well-curated. The rolling stock is well cared for and is very interesting!

This is a nice little place. You probably need just 30 minutes for it, but still, very interesting and nice exhibits.
