CVS pharmacy on Moosic, Scranton, PA is the worst shopping experience

The pharmacist there ray and Jay Jay are both very disrespectful and not only that but when you say something to them about it or if they feel you are being disrespectful back they will threaten to not give you ur medicine or that u can never pick up ur medicine ever again.

I went to get a prescription that is needed for my health. However I was told I had to pay over $500 for the medication. When I asked why they simple said I needed to call my insurance, which I said I would call the insurance because just the other month I paid $25 so to have to pay $500 now is insane however if the insurance says it’s not there fault and it’s ur how would we move forward. I was told they didn’t now. I went forward with my day and about 20 mins after leaving the store the pharmacist calls my phone. He explains to me the same thing the women did at the store and I said well I will be calling my insurance and if it’s not there fault and cvs fault I’ll just speak to a manager and I hung up the phone. The pharmacist called not one but two more times back just to tell me that I’m not allowed to pick up any medicine at that cvs because his feelings was hurt about me saying I will speak to the manager.
Update: I believe that Jay jay (a nick name because none of the pharmacist there want to give their given name they only use nick names) needs to be addressed due to his unprofessional disrespectful in how he addresses clients and calling the patient back consecutively more then 2 times which is considered harassment. Also Ray the other pharmacist needs be addressed who addressed me by missy and not by name as if I’m a child, told me that regardless of how disrespectful they come out if I come out to them in anyway I will not get my medications. Which is a threat. Overall I believe that this place should be one of the cvs that they close down for good.

Xmas eve 2024 .. went to buy something, tell me why the prices in store are raised almost 5$ more on certain items
Don’t believe me go in person and compare with the store app
( and no I’m not price matching another location to try to get the price lowered )

ZERO STARS. The entire pharmacy… pharmacist and pharmacy techs are incompetent and RUDE. They do not have medications a basic pharmacy should have, they dispense inaccurate and unreliable information and on top of all of that the attitudes of the employees are so unprofessional. When you question something one person will lie and the other will swear to it. This is a dangerous pharmacy. I’ve submitted formal complaints to CVS main pharmacy as well as to the pharmacist’s district manager but nobody has the time to police this broken down place. Goodbye CVS… you suck.

1 because 0 wasn't an option. Every single time I visited this pharmacy, I walked away thinking rudeness was a prerequisite for employment. This week was no different. Today, I learned that not only are they rude, and unprofessional, but they are also derelict in their duties to provide life-sustaining medication on time. I called three separate times this week a change in the dosage of my medication. The first time, I was told they didn't have it in stock but that it should be available the next day. Instead they filled the old prescription with the lower dose. When I called again, I was told that I can't just increase the dose! Really? You assumed I was jumping a dose(your fault) you know what they say about assumptions right? So not only are you rude,unprofessional,derelict in your duties, but your also ignorant ! I still don't have my medication because,apparently the Dr made an error in the verbiage used. While I understand that today you need clarification, what I don't understand is why you've had this prescription since 5/13 I spoke with someone in the pharmacy three separate times. You erounusiouly filled the old prescription prompting my third call only to now find out about the error. I understand that today your doing your due diligence (finally) However, I'm disgusted that it took me three days of sheer frustration from dealing with poor service for you to now decide we need to hold up the medication again and wait for clarification from the doctor this close to a holiday weekend.

If there was zero star I would give them zero. Very rude customer service. They don't care about sick people. You may get more sicker until to get your medicine.

Today, I was shopping at the CVS Moosic St, Scranton PA Store. When I walked in the store I was greeted. The store was neat, clean, and organized. I found everything I was looking for and more. When I wasn’t sure about which brand item to choose, the manager Rob explained how CVS brand was comparable and I could save money. I wasn’t expecting Rob to help me understand CVS brand. He also walked me to the product. I appreciate him going above and beyond. He is very professional. Thanks Rob
