I just visited the store in West Scranton. Worst service ever in all the years I have been shopping there. At approximately 1 PM 6-23-24, I went there to purchase an item. Found what I needed and proceeded to check out. When I was at the check out, Brandon, the clerk at the register held up his finger to illustrate to wait a minute. He and another employee were busy chatting and not taking care of any customers. After nearly a five minute wait, I tossed the item I wanted to buy and told them to keep it. No one said a word about my wait. I then went around the corner from the store and purchased the item at Advanced Auto. Going to be a long time before I shop at Auto Zone again.

John.B and Devanye were extremely helpful helping me today, great customer service and extremely knowledgeable and transparent. AUTOZONE keep these guys happy!

Terrific store! They know their stuff. So helpful. I had a check engine light on and the pilot running rough. Went the to get a code read and it turns out to be a oil pressure switch. Luckily they have it in stock and had the correct tools for me to purchase. Fixed it on their parking lot! So greatful to be able to be back on the road and get my family home. Thank you!

Friendly workers but they gave me the wrong break pads and roaters. So I had to come back from my macanic fourty minutes away and extange them for tge right ones.

Called ahead in advance to make sure that they had a part and took 3 hours off of work so I could drive from Tunkhannock down to Scranton and get said part. I was informed that the part was there and set aside for me.
Fast forward. After an hour of driving I arrive and it turns out the gentleman who answered the phone call didn't actually check to see if the part was physically there. I then had to drive to Blakely AutoZone to retrieve said part.
The only plus side to this is that the manager was a total sweetheart. She was very understanding with my frustration and was able to get me 10% off.

Always check any part you buy from this store before leaving!!!I called and paid for a starter for my truck, had my brother pick it up for me since I didn't have a running vehicle. Once I had gotten the chance to open the box there was a rusty old starter in there with an orange ripped "Do not return" sticker stuck to the inside lid of the box. When I picked it up you can hear the internals shaking inside of it.Well the next day (today) when I had access to a running vehicle I went to go return the part to the store - Miss "store manager Ruthy" proceeded to tell me I'm lying and that is not the part that was sold to me 2 days ago (I bought the part yesterday) and that she PERSONALLY "picked the part" out for me so she knows I'm lying, which is completely incorrect. After arguing that is indeed the part that was in the box that they sold me, and requesting a corporate number to speak with someone about it, which I was denied and told to "call customer service", I had to settle for a refund on the part but they kept the $50 core charge. So I still lost $50 on a bad part they sold me. I advised they trace where they got that part from before it was given to me as they obviously got a bad part returned to them prior. Save yourself the headache and money, use a different AutoZone location and this store manager.I wish I got the red-shirt ladies name that was helping me prior to the store managers' interjection, she was very helpful with the questions I had, wish I got to finish my conversation with her about my truck before I left but I did not feel like sticking around after this and most likely will never return to this location.

Got the wrong part and when I returned the employee helped me get the right one right away. He even made sure it matched with the oem one before i left. Great customer service ??
