I have always had amazing service at Creature Comforts. They are the highest level of care and will give you the best treatment. To them it is all about your pet not about how much $ they can make off of you. They took care of my Ponch when he was so very sick. They were so caring not only to him but to me. They love animals and they show it! Thank you everyone at Creature Comforts for all the fine work you do each and every day!

I have put this review off for sometime but strongly felt I had to make others aware of my experience which disgusted me and broke my heart. I had been bringing my Beagle, Macy to Creature Comforts for 3 1/2 years primarily for heartworm shots and regular annual check ups, unless of course Macy was feeling sick which was very rare. My first negative experience was when Macy contracted lyme disease a year after beginning her visits there. I was baffled and asked them WHY they didn't give her the lyme and tick vaccination on her very first visit. I never got a straight answer. I should have never returned after that. AFTER Macy contracted lyme disease, then they began giving her the vaccination. SMH. I regret I didn't find another vet after THAT red flag. Fast forward to October 5th of 2021. At this point Macy has been brought here for check ups and annual vaccinations and I was NEVER, not a SINGLE time advised by Dr. Karin to have Macy vaccinated for Leptospirosis. I never knew about it and it's protection against infection of the kidneys/liver brought about my urine or feces contact with deer and/or raccoons. On October 5th, Macy came down with Leptospirosis. She was diagnosed with a serious kidney AND liver infection and literally developed a heavy amount of jaundice in her mouth which IS a SIGNIFICANT symptom of Leptospirosis only 3 weeks prior to passing away. Macy died on October 14th. She was admittedly little overweight and 14 1/2 years old but otherwise got around great and went to the bathroom regularly. How does this doctor NOT advise me in 3 1/2 years of having my ELDER dog, Macy, to get vaccinated (75% effective) against a very common danger for dogs specifically?? ESPECIALLY since we live in a rural area with DEER and RACCOONS all around us. I am disgusted with this woman's apparent negligence. Be aware!

Terrible place. Unkind to the animals and incompetent vet. Do not go here. Please if you love your pet take it somewhere else.

Terrible place. Stay clear. Brought my dog here for an emergency since we were on vacation. Bad choice. Staff were very rude. Hang up on you when you call to get updates. Don't allow you to see your pet. Then when I went to pick up my dog they gave us issues and wouldn't bring our dog out. I let them know they are as bad as their reviews on Google and Facebook the staff say "oh we know". Your proud of your poor reviews? And my dog came home with paws covered in feces! Disgusting. If you care about your pet stay clear of this deplorable dump. See "shut down creature comforts on Facebook".

If your love your animal in the slightest, whatever you do, AVOID bringing your fur baby's here!!! Lately it seems like they specialize in Lying and Neglecting the sick animals that come in to be cared for. My sister brought her Beautiful and healthy 4 yr old dog there as an emergency when she noticed her dog stopped eating. THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON FOR THE EMERGENCY VISIT!!! An X Ray wasn't done even after my sister asked for one multiple times. A poison test wasn't completed but yet they came to the conclusion it was pancreatitis! After them keeping my sisters dog for numerous days (they didn't let me sister come visit and see her dog) they kept reassuring my sister that she was getting better. Day 4 they called my sister to pick her dog up and when she picked her up they told my sister her Dog still hadn't Eaten but they Assume she's not COMFORTABLE with them so they believe she will eat with her at home! HOW DO YOU RELEASE THEY ANIMAL STILL NOT EATING AFTER THATS WHAT THEY CAME TO FIX!?!?! Not 48hrs later my sister wound up driving almost an hr away to an animal hospital where they did an xray and found the issue but it was too late unfortunately. My Sister and Niece are so heart broken and we feel so robbed of her beautiful presence. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN or at least INVESTIGATED!

Plz doooo not bring your animals here. I beg you. I and my 8 yr okd are now suffering the loss of out fur baby due to their negligence. I wish someone warned me. No one knows what they are doing here and have been caught in many lies. I would not recommend this place if it was the last standing vet in monroe county !!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! I brought my dog in because my vet recommended this place. I called them and they seemed nice. However, I should have known something when they required a DEPOSIT before I could schedule an appointment. When we (my mother and I) got there, they took forever to take us. They finally took her back, then refused to let us in citing COVID as a reason. After a disagreement with the receptionist (didn't get his name), who focused more on the fact we weren't vaccinated, we finally got to see a vet tech. She wasn't exactly nice either. She screamed at us, also stating it's National Mental Health Day and how we need ton"give them a break." She also cited all the allegations against them are fraud and told me my problem is I do too much research. They clearly weren't defending their reputation, only giving people more reasons to believe all of the stories online. She got very nasty and refused to speak to me because of my attitude towards her. Additionally, they refused to keep my dog who was in dire need of medical attention because of an elevated heart rate. We decided to call another vet, who took her ASAP. When we explained to the other vet our experience, they were not surprised. This place sucks! Their priorities are with MONEY and not PETS! DON'T GO HERE! ALSO, GO TO CHANGE.ORG AND SIGN THE PETITION TO SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!

I took my cat there for an emergency. I visited him every day and watched him get worse and worse. My regular vet called me that Monday morning to ask how he made out. I told her where he was and how he was doing and she said, "Get him out of there right now." I went and got my cat. The vet yelled at me and told me he needed to stay. The moment I got him home he started to improve and continued to do so. I remember a vet tech who worked there years ago told me that she was yelled at by the vet for comforting a cat who was going into surgery. What kind of person does that? That vet tech didn't stay there long!

According to their databases..on Google reviews they claimed I wasn't a client because I put a bad 1 star..I've never been there ever and that I should contact them. This says a lot when I have about 10 years of medical bills spanning from a chinchilla, ferrets, to several cats, 4 dogs..one they had to put down due to bloat by Karen herself before the clinics decline. A hound mix that they actually were very kind to when putting down. . . However the clinic has been in a decline over the last 10 years. Still, I continued to go and I even got one of my cat's from here, an adoption 5 yrs back. I can describe the kennels, the icu, the 3 rooms for examinations and their counter office in the blue house next door where I did in fact adopt a calico kitten from 5 yrs ago. They show their unprofessionalism by being unaware who actually is or was a client. I paid my bills every time perhaps that's why you don't have me there? Or is it the fact I removed you as a vet and found another way more qualified vet 2 - 3 yrs ago? Telling someone they've never been a client of your practice, when you've published two of those dogs I lost in your newsletter, and sent me sympathy cards... is another reason I walked from your s*** hole. Sad, you used to be a decent veterinarian. Now, I travel to Mahoning valley to see a veterinarian that in fact FIXED an issue with my Husky and her CANCEROUS TUMOR this clinic told me was just a "lipoma" after pulling a "watery substance" from the tumor. We played back back forth with creature comforts over 1 yr before going to a recommended veterinarian our of frustration.. They KILLED MY DOG AKASHA by mismanaging her diagnosis of "Lipoma" that was in fact a cancer growth. DO NOT go here. And unlike the rest of those they claim never paid bills.... Or take care of their animals.. I've years of history of payment on time, and in full.. with every. single. veterinarian. I've. ever. dealt. with. including this office. And yes. I've proof again.. of my husky's cancer diagnosis after a year of going to Creature comforts asking them to help us with her tumor that started off as the size of a small egg and was taken off of her body as a 12 lb mass of cancer... 3 weeks after we went to this new veterinarian of ours. he was grossly upset by this lack of diagnosis, and competence of the veterinarians lackluster diagnosis of it's just a lipoma. The new veterinarian has all of my records from creature comforts, even if they claim i never was there. Creature comforts sent them to the new veterinarian. Wonder if they wiped me from their system then...

Thank God for Creature Comforts. I only wish I found them sooner before I lost one of my Dogs. Dr K is the ONLY one who will take care of my animals from now on.

Unfortunately the receptionist ruins it for everyone. The tech was very nice. He did tell me that they would probably get an X-ray and check him out. I guess it was too much to assume that I might get a call from the vet after my pet was examined. I called after 35 minutes of my dog being inside and was told initially, "they are working over diagnostics and stuff." When I said I thought I might get a call to review costs or plan of care, she said, "well the tech told you he was getting labs and an X-ray." This was of course before a vet laid eyes on him so I was attempting to get confirmation of this plan. I'm still not even sure a licensed veterinarian ever looked at him. The only person I talked to was the tech. I rescue and end up at a lot of vet appointments. I have never once not received a call from the vet to discuss my pet's plan of care after they examined them.

Took my 5 yr old dog in that was throwing up. They told me they had to put her down. By the time I went to the car and back to get my hubby they said they could save her. What an ordeal! after 1 week on IV they said come get her. I did ..... an hr after I got home they called and said it was a mistake she was NOT supposed to be released. I drive an hr back....after another 4 days they finally say she has cancer and they will do chemo. 2 days after 1st chemo they say come get her. She suffered 24 hrs of pure AGONY untill they reopened and we could get her back there to be put down with a HEFTY bill. I think they kept her alive for 2+ weeks just for the money. No one was ever able to answer any questions to the point of being RUDE....DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE!!! Also I tried to visit my dog every day and was shocked how filthy it was in the back !!

My cat was hit by a car, and spent a week in CC's intensive care unit. He was in a really bad way when we brought him in, but they took amazing care of him and had him back to fighting trim eventually. I'm eternally grateful to the kind folks here and the work they do, and the love and expertise they show in treating their patients. They saved my boy Kamir, and without them, I don't think he would have survived.

Receptionists answering the phone are short and snippy. Had bad interactions with them many times. Communication is poor from doctor to techs so when they are giving updates on sick animals they seem to be misinformed. Always disorganized when I'm there. Not impressed

Professionals until you leave your pets alone with them. Took my dog to get examined and to get ONE shot, almost $700.. Was with my dog every step of the way from the weight check to checking his joints and body. Once I was asked to leave the room to be given a shot, I heard my dog basically crying for help. He walked into the clinic tail wagging without a clue to what we were doing there to snugged in between my legs with his tail in between his until we left. Examiner suggested I get a thicker or stronger collar for better control, that's because my dog bolted out of that small room so fast he couldn't wait to leave. What did she really do to him, I will never know.
