Wonderful, safe boarding for my fearful little rescue dog. He had a clean and spacious kennel where he could go inside and outside independently. An answer to a prayer for a dog that doesn’t fit in with group doggie daycare/boarding settings.

First time leaving our 1yr old German Shepard. I was a wreck, but I couldnt have been more satisfied with the facility and staff. I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of my baby and making me feel "not so guilty" for leaving him so I could go away and have some fun. He came home clean, nails trimmed and clean bedding. Web cam abled me to peek in on him occasionally when I missed him too. Definitely our go-to kennel in the future!

We love, love, love this kennel! Our pup is a peculiar fella but the staff at Saxonburg take great care of him when we go out of town. Their grooming is fantastic as well. I love the camera to check in on him and he’s a happy guy when we get him back!

As a business perspective they are doing their due diligence. However , my dog had her borderella shot on Jul 28th, my dog was supposed to attend daycare on Aug 5th - Diane wouldn’t allow my dog to attend due to the fact she only had the shot for 8 days vs 20. I appreciate the due diligence, what I don’t appreciate is her not verifying this information over the phone ( which is her job due to the fact that I don’t know what the kennels guideline are) with me when I spoke with her via phone conversation. Therefore, I wasted my time and money driving to her facility. In addition to that she was assuming and treating my dog poorly (my dog wanted to smell the area as we were leaving which is a natural instinct for a dog and Diane wouldn’t allow it in her facility) because of the fact it hasn’t been 20 days. Once again I appreciate the due diligence I don’t appreciate leaving a faculty feeling upset due to an assumption.

They are great with my dog who can be crazy at times. I love that they have video so I can look in on him when I am missing him.

The facility is nice and our dog was happy. Too many rules though and drop off and pick up is a pain. The fact that they are not onsite is a minus and they seem to punish you with no flexibility because of this. But, like I said our Pup was happy, so there's that.

I just boarded my beautiful 1 year old Great Dane Trixie for 4 nights, it was her first time away from home and she was scared to death. The staff took it upon themselves to cook her chicken when she didn't feel like eating her food. They sat in her kennel wit her so she wouldn't be lonely and even washed her blankets. I will be using them again in the near future. :)

Dianna, Christina, and the SK team are WONDERFUL. We have a large, Shepherd/Saint Bernard mix who needed boarding for the first time. Given his size and anxiety tendencies, we were a bit nervous. Thanks to the care of the SK team, he was calm and playful the entire week! The facility was clean, the team was extremely responsive, and both he and his bed were bathed for check out! Overall, SK took great care of our dog while we were away. Thank you SK team!!

Saxonburg Kennels was recommended by our puppies breeder, and I’m so glad for that! From the personalized appointment for drop off and pick up, to the live cameras to check in-it’s obvious that this facility is about taking care of your beloved fur babies and not just about making money. Other kennels in the area are experiencing bordetella outbreaks, and I was impressed to see on the camera multiple times the thorough cleaning of the runs. Our sweet girl deserves nothing less than the best, and we are so glad to have found that here!
