We went there for Sunday brunch for the first time, and we will be returning many more times in the future. The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was excellent.

I had the fish and chips. It was very good. The fish was flounder. This is a neat old hotel. I really enjoyed my lunch there.

Unfortunately, this place has really nosedived since the new owners took over. The food quality is very low now, maybe they are cutting costs and buying cheaper ingredients?? We used to go once a week but this week will be our last. Something has changed with the chef, the ingredients, the standards, the quality, the overall enjoyment. It's like they're only focused on painting the walls and putting up new decor. They really need to look at the food, service and drinks. The glasses are dirty, the draft beer system either needs a good cleaning or replaced and a whole restaurant revamp should happen. The last owner really kept a tight ship and you could see that by the incredible meals they put out. But now, you're waiting over an hour for a very, very mediocre dinner, there is no longer anything special about this restaurant. Such a shame, it used to be highly regarded in the area but now its just another lets-cut-corners average restaurant. There are a couple servers left from the previous owner and you can tell they worked under her because their service is always wonderful. Cindy and Sue are wonderful servers.Sad that this place has taken such a nosedive is such a short period of time. And if you're going to let your chefs smoke pot (which I've had my fair share of smokes), at least tell them to hide. The one chef likes to stand in the middle of the parking lot and we had to walk through the smoke to get in the door. Yeah, wanted to smell that and smell like like weed on our night out.

I've been to this place about 4 times now, and twice the management has changed, I believe. The food is ok, it's not wildly amazing but not terrible. I do like to get the Reuben sandwich if I am in the mood for it. My husband enjoys their carrot cake too! Overall the atmosphere could be improved through a little music--often times the dining room off the bar is dead silent and it feels uncomfortable to have a conversation. I have sat on the other dining room too for a work holiday party. With only the four of us in the room, there was no music in there either. It felt very awkward and uncomfortable, like we shouldn't have been there. I think little touches could be worked on and improved to give a more polished feel to what could be an almost perfect local gem. Also, please ask your servers to stop stomping around the dining room. I understand this is an old building (I live in a house built in the 1860s) but waiters do not need to be walking with such heavy feet that our table shakes every time they pass by!

Just had brunch there. They sat us down and 15 minutes later server(I think Nicole) takes our order and drinks. I ordered a bourbon, which sat at bar for 10 minutes. The bartender saw me eyeing it, so she brings it to me. Once she got there, she noticed it wasn’t a clean glass then proceeded to pour my drink from the dirty glass to a clean glass, not pour me a new drink. Anyways, any refill we wanted, coffee, water, we had to flag a server down for refills. After 45 minutes, the same server comes back to us and tries to take our order again. We realized then, she never put our order in. It took an hour to get a salad, bagel with cream cheese and eggs benedict. Terrible service, dirty glasses, cups, and utensils, food was mediocre at best. The environment was very chaotic disorganized and no where near relaxing. Who would have thought the basics would be so difficult. Definitely never returning.

To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. The restaurant has gone down hill. We stopped for lunch at the winter festival and the service was beyond horrible. They were understaffed and illprepared for the crowd. We got there at 2:20 pm and didn't get out of there until almost 5:00 pm. Luckily we had gotten to the festival a little early or we would have missed it completely. I used to love going to the hotel for lunch. But I will never return.

What a great dinner. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable. She checked on allergies for me, and it was much appreciated. The seafood trio special was amazing. I've never had a scallop cake. It was the best flavor, so tasty. My husband was impressed with the same trio and the drink selection too. I hope they have it as a special again soon!

We attended the Christmas murder mystery event that the hotel had and boy oh boy it was just straight up false advertising. When we signed up for the event, the meal was supposed to be fine dining, but what we got were entirely different items that looked and tasted like they came from the Costco frozen section. The meal was so small and disappointing that we had to order pizza for after our $75/person dinner. The one good thing I can say is our waitress was phenomenal. It looks like she’s the only one from previous ownership that they haven’t gotten rid of. It’s just unfortunate that they forced a specific tip amount on our check because our waitress definitely deserved more but we didn’t have cash on us.

Made reservations and friends showed up prior to us. They said they didn’t have us on the list. We walk in and say our name and there we are.Water and drinks were served quickly. Appetizer’s took a bit of time but our actual dinners….it was 75 mins from the time we sat down until we got our plates. Never once were we asked if we needed refills. We had to stop someone and ask. I In top of that, the place was freezing.3 of us got burgers. They were all lukewarm at best. No one ever came to check on us so we gave up and ate what we could. Finally she asked how our dinners were and we told her they were cold. Another member of our party had fish and veggies. His veggies were cold. The server went back and told the chef and came back to our table. She said “the chef said the burgers were not cold and to give us a free dessert”. How does he know? Seriously? Maybe that is ok to say that to her but to say that to us? Still no refills on drinks and we are all just done with dinner. The place had empty seatings too. It wasn’t as if they were packed busy.First and last time there. Never again.

Sue was a terrible waitress. Really -takes that long to get beer from the bar? It's only beer.

Had the fried clam special. It came with fresh cut fries, (I opted for the sweet potato fries at no extra charge) and coleslaw. It was very good. Reasonably priced at $16. No complaints.
