We had an appointment for our dog that we thought was at a certain time. Evidently it was scheduled in their system for 10 minutes earlier than we were told.
We got there at the time we thought the appointment was (10 minutes late according to them) and they wouldn’t see our dog unless we paid an extra fee. A simple misunderstand couldn’t be overlooked ONE time. That’s really wild. If they could fit him in for a fee, why couldn’t they fit him in without it? I could understand if it had happened before or if it was a pattern. But it was just one time. What a terrible policy, especially when a pet has an appointment for an issue. Some compassion and empathy would be nice. I hope to find a practice that shows these characteristics because they aren’t found here.

While the Dr’s are nice and caring I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are the kind of place that will nickel and dime you for anything they do. They won’t tell you they are going to charge you for something and will just do it. The team on the phones never know what they’re talking about so good luck getting an answer out of them. Aside from the vet, the boarding facility is a mistake. I used them twice and each time my dogs left in worse condition than they came. The first was diarrhea for weeks but the second was the worst. It ended with a $6000 surgery and they will do nothing but give you the $400 credit they make you pay for as insurance when you board. The people who intake your dog won’t even greet you good morning. Did not feel comfortable leaving my dog with people like that.

i like the fact that boarding is in such close proximity and association with a reputable veterinary hospital. the downside is the cost. my 70 lb. pup cost over $100 per day and that was for the no frills bare bones package.

These doctors give the best care for my babies, and my dogs love their boarding program, too! We have been seeing Dr. Donahue for our senior dog recently and she is so kind, compassionate, and sensitive to our wishes for her to live in comfort in her old age. She explains the lab work results well which allows me to make more informed decisions on my pet’s health. She lays out all of the options, too, without judgment. She is fantastic, and my senior girl is doing so well now and the Dr remembers her and is genuinely happy with her progress. I couldn’t ask for anyone better!!

From Day 1 as first time dog family, Limerick Vet has been incredible. On day 5, she got very sick and we used emergency care, which we also used two other times in Sammy's near 15 years. Sammy had 4 different family members who would take her, and the doctors and staff were always amazing. As her days became hard for her, the doctors helped us come to terms with what we needed to do, even making an extra phone call to re-explain to other family members. They supported us fully. These dog owning rookies could not have asked for better veterinary care for over 100 (dog) years.

Dr McGinley did surgery on our English bulldog last week and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We were very nervous about him going under anesthesia and having surgery due to his breed but Dr McGinley was very informative and straightforward which gave us confidence in her. She followed up with us right before and after the surgery and everything went extremely well. Everyone else we have met has been friendly and helpful and we never have to wait long before being seen for our appointments which we also appreciate!

We take all our “babies” here and they get wonderful care. When in for a neuter or spade doctors call to give you updates and then when home check on them to be sure they are doing well. All the members of the team are great and Doctor Donahue is phenomenal. While cats never are excited to go to the vet but they always get great care, but Phoebe and Big Joe always race to go in to their appointments!

Babadook loves this office! Dr. Mcginley and Dr. Yarnell are great and take the time to hear us out and offer the best course of action. Baba is very anxious and the staff take that into consideration every appointment and we appreciate that beyond words. Also shout out to Becca as she was the most patient ever when cutting his nails. We appreciate you!

Very disappointed with lodging for our two dogs. We had been coming here for a few years and they had always had a policy of picking up by noon on Sundays without charging the additional day. They recently changed that policy to 10 am (though at first they denied it was a change). We started driving several hours earlier to pick them up on time. We arrived at 10:17 and they still charged us for the entire additional day of lodging for both dogs. When we checked their kibble bag it was very full, so they hadn’t been fed their breakfast, yet, either.

I became a customer after my family and I bought a French Bulldog. Once he was due for his shots, we made an appt with Limerick Vet. Visit went well. Fast forward to his yearly visit. We went in for his yearly vaccinations and I had some concerns with his health and breathing. The veterinarian diagnosed him, and said he may need surgery on his snout and palate. He explained the procedure and gave me a quote for how much it would cost. After reading the estimate, I noticed that it had a service on it for my dog to be neutered, which I NEVER had any intentions on doing. After bringing this to the vet’s attention, he told me that he would print out a new estimate without the neuter procedure. Once I saw the new estimate, I noticed the amount was still pretty much the same, so I called the office to get an explanation. After speaking to maybe 2-3 different people about the situation, the Veterinarian FINALLY got back with me and says they WILL NOT be able to do the procedure because I didn’t agree to have my dog neutered.!! I told him that I NEVER once agreed to that, and if that was the case, then why even take the time out to type up a new estimate without the neutering process..? He had no answer. No one should be FORCED to do anything they don’t want too with their pets. I feel like they were being very biased towards me. His health concerns were about his nose and breathing and having corrective surgery to address it. Neutering him had NOTHING to do with the procedure, but because I was adamant about not getting it done, they said they would not do it. It’s ok….found a new veterinarian ✌?
