We live 1 block away from this coffee shop and my kids like to get their breakfast sandwiches. Since the shop has opened they have been SUPER dog friendly so we walk up with my 2 small , well behaved dogs.Well a week or so ago the owner informed me that there was a complaint and now dogs can’t hang around for long, especially in the sit down area. No problem, we’ve never eaten there and always get to go.Today, walked up with my 10 yr old and my dogs. There was a short line so my son got in line while I waited outside till our turn. I went in to order and could tell owner was looking at me weird. He says right away with demeaning tone , “ didn’t we just talk about this?” Like I was a child that had forgotten what I was told. Surprised by the questioning, I said yes, just doing as you asked, ordering my food, paying and leaving(even waited outside till it cleared out for our turn). Owner says oh, ok if your not eating here, than you can wait inside. I said,“ you would have known that if you asked me” rather than assuming and scolding me as soon as I came in.He says “with that comment I can wait outside”.Needless to say, we left and won’t be back. I felt very disrespected as I was only following what he had asked of me.We have had issues in the past with the younger staff being very rude but didn’t expect it from the owner. Again to be clear, we have never eaten in the shop so I don’t know if he has me confused for someone else. Either way, totally uncalled for!

Mark D treats his employees horribly. He pays his employees via Venmo, takes his employees tips, then fires his employees for no reason. I will never support his small business again. I will support other small businesses that are honest. Do better Mark D. and please respect those with disabilities and stop calling your employees “ a retard”. Wake up Royersford and start supporting honest small businesses.

This is my favorite coffee spot! It’s extremely cozy and Mark is very welcoming. Coffee is some of the best in the area and I can never make my matcha lattes at home taste as good as their’s.I also enjoy the breakfast sandwiches and T parm panini. Oh and the biscottis!

Love the coffee and atmosphere here. We went for breakfast after not for a few years and were a bit surprised to get bountiful amounts of mayo on our egg and cheese which made the sandwich a bit challenging to get through. We know to ask for it without next

This place served me one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The cold brew was also good. The vibes were cool inside as well. I wish it was closer to my house! I’ll definitely be back.

Raspberry White Mocha latte was amazing! I hesitate to order things with white chocolate because I don't want it to be too sweet, but this latte was a perfect balance. You could still taste the espresso, and the Raspberry flavor was there but not overpowering.

Wow! I came hangry and I left super happy. I got the buffalo chicken cheesesteak egg rolls and a hot chai latte. The eggrolls came with cheddar and sour cream flavored uglies chips. The latte has no added sugars which I love. 100/10 I will definitely be back!

I just wanted eggs. The girl behind the counter said they can do that and they were egg patties. I said great I will take 3 and a 16oz hot green tea. The total was just under $25.00. I just paid and walked away as I was in shock at the price. I had no bread, no cheese no nothing just three egg patties and a cup of hot tea. I tried to call and no one picked up their phone to let them know how disappointed I was with the cost of the lack there of meal. So I’m just gonna leave this here and hopefully the owners or manager will see this. I definitely will not be ordering from there again.

I have to say I love going to this spot. The first thing I noticed when going into the shop is the feeling of a true town go to spot and a very relaxing and cozy feeling. Then I will say the coffee is way better than your dunkins, Starbucks, wawa, etc. The egg sandwiches are huge and well worth every penny, and lastly, I love the entire staff from top to bottom. We all have become what feels like good friends and know each other, and to me, that's worth a million bucks!

I've been going to this locally run establishment for a few years now and have sadly witnessed its recent decline, which if continues, will be its inevitable demise. The food and beverages are now poorly prepared and the owner is unavailable to address issues and completely absent on weekends to supervise the very young staff. This is too bad because the atmosphere inside is comfortable and charming. I have returned several times over the last several months to give it another chance, thinking it was just an off day, but it keeps getting worse. Without a major overhaul of the business, Brewed Awakening's days are numbered. So sad. This was such a nice addition to downtown Royorsford. Hopefully someone will take over the location and return it to its original level of quality and service.

My son and I tried to visit a couple weeks ago based on their website hours and they were closed. The hours on their door say they close at 2. Website says 5 or 3 depending on the day. So we tried again today. Handwritten note on door says “closing at 12 got it?” Needless to say we were there at 1 and didn’t get to visit. Will not be back. Some advice, update your website and try sticking to it. Very frustrating.
