PROS: this was a great horse shop. They not only sold saddles but they sold horse grooming supplies, treats, medical stuff, and more. It's owned by the Amish and you can see the man making the stuff in the other room CONS: the lady that ran the shop was very cold to us when we were in there OVERALL: if you have a horse and are looking for a ma and pa shop. Look no further. But beware, they only accept cash

Absolutely the best for leather repair, their prices and quality of workmanship is hands down the best in Lancaster county. They also have a good inventory of saddles, saddle pads, bridles, halters, fly spray, barn supplies etc. it’s a great family also, the sweetest people!

Awesome tack shop to deal with. Have been going there for about 20 years. Very nice family that runs the business. Have bought off the shelf and had custom made pieces.

Fantastic shop with hand made leather items. We found the best strings of bells here. Using to put on door. They are also used to train your dogs to ring when they want to go outside. They also have beautiful belts. Cash only.

It's OK for the Amish çommunity, but not of much value to travelling tourists.

The straps on a favorite pocketbook had, after many years, worn out. The fine gentleman at Village Harness repaired it quickly, affordably, even going far to match the color of their available materials to the original tint of the straps. As another Yelper says, this isn't a tourist stop. It's a hard-working business, so no photos and gawking, please. Just real, good stuff if you need it, and very kind people.

I have ben trading with 'Ike (Issac) and Daniel since 2005. I enjoy the one hour drive to Intercourse and the relaxation along the way. I buy all sorts of leather goods. Great belts that they will make to order, gloves and leather laces - anything that you want or need repaired - they will gladly do it beautifully.... Once you break the ice and appear more than once and smile... it is like old home week around the store. Kind, friendly and as always very accommodating. In fact I am off to bother the boys tomorrow with a box of donuts for some more custom leather and I am truly looking forward to it...... H.D.G Berwyn, PA

Always a pleasant experience at Village Harness Shop. They do everything from custom halters, leashes, bridles, bits, nameplates, collars, and so much more. They also sell almost anything you’d need for your horse from buckets to fly spray to pitch forks. Service is always super friendly, professional, efficient, and very reasonable in cost. We come here a few times a year to outfit our horses with custom halters as well as send all our friends here. I highly recommend village harness to be honest.
