Stayed there while riding the GAP. Great location right off the trail. This is an historic home that is well maintained. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Even offered to make me breakfast before the normal time because I was leaving early in the morning. I stayed in one of the rooms with a private bath, the Kayla room, and loved it. For the bikers, the area seemed very safe, I didn’t even feel the need to lock my bike. If you’re riding the GAP this is a great stop! Not much on the food front in Rockwood so I’d recommend picking up an extra sandwich along the way for your dinner. The Rock City Express convenience store did have some premade sandwiches and salads, and you can stock up on water there, too. All in all, a great stay!!

My friend and I were running late to find a campsite on the north side of ECD after a long day on the bikes. We called Josiah after 8pm and he answered and had a room available. We showed up around 9pm let ourselves in and made dinner in the warm cozy kitchen. It had been a long day so was super nice to shower and have a dinner by the pellet stove. The house annd our room was very clean. Josiah out did himself for breakfast, and the blueberry pancakes with home made mulberry syrup were wonderful. Only reservation is forgetting to give him an extra tip when we were leaving. Sorry! Seriously you need to go to see the gingerbread house and Josiah!

Great Price, good location right off the GAP trail, if you are doing full trail or just to Cumberland, highly recommend stopping here for the night. Hosts were very nice, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Not much to do in the town, but you biking through, or looking to visit ohiopyle or falling waters its perfect

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Gingerbread House after a long day of cycling on the GAP trail. Tracy was our host, and she was great checking us in and showing us around. She made us feel right at home, and showed us where to store our bikes. The next morning, she cooked us a wonderful hot breakfast with blueberry french toast, a delicious seasonal fruit salad and sausages. The rooms were lovely, with quaint furnishings, toiletries, plenty of towels and nice hot showers. The location is perfect for anyone doing the GAP trail. We will definitely stay here again.

I had the most pleasant night of sleep here in a long time. It was a good days ride from Cumberland. Josiah is an exceptional host. And his lovely assistant Liza is very charming and helpful. It is a highlight of my trip on the GAP.
Rooms: Traveling with my brother in law, sharing a bed wasn't ideal so we had Casey's room with twin beds. Perfect!i

This is a wonderful place to stop while biking the GAP. There is easy bike storage under the deck, the rooms are pleasant, and breakfast is excellent. We also highly recommend the brewery/laundromat down the street. Rockwood is a beautiful little town to stop for the night.
Noteworthy details: homemade breakfast

We stayed here while riding the GAP trail. The B&B is just off the trail so it's easy to find. They had a hose, air pump, bike rack etc for us to use.
I'd definitely stay there again. Thank you Josiah!

We loved staying here as we biked through on our way to Pittsburgh. Josiah was SO caring, considerate and friendly. We have never eaten a more delicious breakfast and Josiah makes his own mulberry syrup. The coffee was top notch. We felt completely at home and highly recommend this lodging.

Very nice, great breakfast - best pancakes & homemade syrup ever! - Josiah was very helpful and accommodating, and a great host. Rockwood itself lacked much to offer for a place for dinner, sadly. The location near the GAP trail was fantastic.

Tiny town and all things considered this stop was a pleasant surprise. This was my first stay at a B&B and it didn't disappoint. Comfy bed, delicious breakfast with Josiah and his adorable daughter. Just a stones throw from the trail. If you're on the fence, I recommend this place.
