It's always a tense experience that I think is the result of the sternness and unfriendliness of the owners. Also, they charged me an "in store" fee at Christmastime when I went to the bakery to buy a few cakes. This was on top of the cost of the cakes and the tax.A fee for shopping in store? They definitely take advantage of their good-natured customers who enjoy their expensive goods.

Always try to buy from small businesses. I'm old enough that I used to give directions by where the bakery was. Over by Rillings,, down by Sketcheys etc. Bought dozens of cakes out of the case for many friends for many occasions. Today at Danish Bakers I was charged $2 for writing HAPPY BIRTHDAY. No heads up that a 1 minute service that bakeries have done as a courtesy forever. Just the counter girl writing it. Well at Danish Bakers it is now an up charge of $120.00 an hour, for writing HAPPY BIRTHDAY. All their baked goods are wonderful, so one less star for my first negative yelp

Solid two, buttercake is their best offering.Not the best ,but hey to each their own.My real gripe is the pricing, they have been this way since before covid.Went here today $36 dollars for 12 minicupcakes,applying for 2nd mortgage now to pay them off. I took them home and only 11 in box.Last time.
