This review is specific to the framing dept. this review is based off of comparison of quality and service with Joanne. Today was second time I gave this michaels locations a try. The quality is substandard and the bill did not match the quote. What compelled me just as much as my issues was how they handles the customer in front of me. He dropped of a basic matting April 30. He was cont happy with the initial attempt (matting has wrinkles)...today is Jan 5th and still doesn't have his item completed. The list of excuses the manager though at him was embarrassing. Anyway, yes they generally are quicker than joanne, but it is not worth it.

If I could give them a 0 I would! I'm a very avid cricut user and spend lots of $$ on cricut products! I am always able to price match at every Michaels.. this location would not. I talked to the manager (Cherine) who said there was nothing they could do- NOTHING! I was also here last week and they had a 40% sign up and did not honor it because they forgot to take it down. That's not my problem you forgot to take it down. Just horrible customer service.

I am giving a low amount of stars based on my experiences with checking out. The store is large and fairly well stocked. By prepared to wait In line for a few minutes to pay for the merchandise, though, even if you're first. At both this location Sunday, September 23rd and the Strabane Square location a few weeks ago store associates rung up someone at their registers and went to do something else before coming back to ring up my purchase. It was not going to assist the customer that was at the register before me or any customer for that matter, or I would have understood. Sunday, there were 2 cashiers finishing with customers when I got in line. There were no other customers before me. The young woman cashier finished and then went to the bins where I'm guessing they put unwanted merchandise to return to the shelves. I did not hear the conversation, but my guess is that she asked the other cashier, a middle-aged man, where to place what looked like a Halloween themed platter. The man returned to his station first. Instead of waving me ahead he just more or less leaned on his counter to see if there was anyone waiting. I stepped up with my small purchase. I laid the 3 small items on the counter to be rung up. He did so then asked if I had a reward card. He gave me an odd look when I gave the number as if I was giving a false one or something that was more difficult to enter. I really don't understand what happened there, but after doing so, he gave me my total of just under $10. I gave him 2 $5 bills, and again it seemed I inconvenienced him by not paying with a $10 bill. He repeated the amount and told me what my change would be. He handed me the change then put the receipt on the counter next to the merchandise and told me "Here you go." I just stood there a moment. He then asked if I needed a bag, to which I said, "Yes, please." He put my merchandise in a bag and left the bag on the counter. He did not hand it to me, thank me, etc. I felt it was poor customer service to first walk away from the station when someone was in line and then not hand the bagged merchandise to the customer or never thank them for shopping.

This Michael's is a lot larger and it has much more selection and variety of products than the Michael's in Toronto. It is a very busy time of the season and the store was kept very well, clean, organized and everything was easy to find. The lines are fast moving and we didn't have to wait. This is probably the nicest Michael's we've seen.

Will never return to this location. I needed help in the framing department & TWO workers were helping ONE lady. I stood there for about 5-10 minutes just waiting & when it finally came it seemed like I was annoying the worker.

I only came into this Michael's yesterday to use the restroom while Kay tried on clothes at a nearby women's apparel shop. After relieving myself, I saw dragons, ogre's, and remote controlled cars! Kay would have an APB put out on me an hour later.

We love this store. It is an artists haven and I have a little artist on my hands. From making tshirts, drawing, painting, creating wreathes, and baking, this is always the place we come to.
