Emily and the group at York, Tire and Auto are terrific!! As a single mom with a daughter who is driving, , about a year ago I was looking for a good automotive place that I would be able to trust. York, Tire & Auto have exceeded my expectations. They take great care of us and their work has been excellent; speedy, extremely reasonable, and honest. They do not push anything on us. Instead, they always recommend and help with a timeline of what should be done and when. I completely trust York, Tire and Auto with all of our cars, and I feel very lucky to have found them.

Deceptive - Bordering on Fraud - Hundreds of great reviews BUT scan through and read the bad ones where they took illegal actions and made a women buy a set of tires only from them to pass her inspection there and another windshield wipers which she had replacements in her trunk that they insisted she bought from them or they wouldn't pass her inspection. Total shame these two women didn't know to turn them in and get their inspection license suspended and possibly taken away.I wanted to know if they could get me a remanufactured engine or rebuild my engine, that's all. I was presented with a strong performance failing every time to give me a truthful answer on rebuilding my engine. Remanufactured I did get an answer that Emily wasn't finding anything. I was told everything from " yes we can rebuild, " on the phone and to " I asked the mechanic and he's thinking about it." Really, thinking about it..?Friday 5:10 PM: I came in late after waiting for an answer with my car there all day. I wanted to speak to the head mechanic and see if he could make up his mind but was told " They all left. I can't keep them here after 5:00 on a Friday night..!" I walked out to my 370Z I just drove in on and got in my car to see a mechanic pulling my Murano into the building and another vehicle pull up to the back of the building, Oh, They All Left..!??! Now the appropriate thing for Emily to have said was, " They're done for the day and they are in the garage but could you please come back Monday..? "What was the purpose of this deceit..? Just easier to lie. I went to the open garage that was empty, nothing being worked on in it and walked back towards the many voices I heard coming from the rear to the room aside of it and saw what I assume to be their entire crew there carrying on. I stated that I needed to speak to a mechanic. One of the guys said that I should talk to another and he stepped forward and backed me into the other bay I came out of.I asked him if he could rebuild the motor in my Murano that's there. I was directed forward and told to speak to Emily and I replied, " I did and that's why I need to speak to a mechanic." He immediately told me ( lol..! ) " You have an attitude ", he told me twice..! Gee, isn't that a defenseless comment to everything you might object to..!??! ( lol..! ) I was very calm and replied that I did not have an attitude but maybe I should after Emily had just been again pretty loose with her lies to me per phone and in person. If they had told me upfront on the phone that building an engine wasn't something they cared not to do I would not have been there wasting my time. These are the facts and my opinions of a garage I will never go back to as their implementation of customer service and business acumen are extremely immature.I won't tell you not to go there as they have pleased many but I would suggest if you do go there to keep your eyes and ears open and act upon your doubts..!Service: Engine repair

Highly recommend York Auto Service & Tire. Emily at reception is very kind and accommodating and has been able to fit me in last minute a handful of times which I’ve greatly appreciated! They are reasonably priced and transparent about any necessary and suggested work that needs to be done without pressuring you. There’s a comfortable lounge as well if you need to wait for your vehicle to be serviced. They’ve earned my business and I will be taking my vehicles there going forward for all my auto needs. Thanks!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Folks, please avoid York Tire & Auto.Being new to the area, I made the mistake of taking my car here to get inspected since they had the quickest availability. If I had bothered to look at the reviews (Google and Yelp) more carefully I would have kept looking and gone elsewhere. That was my first mistake.$50 to replace one wiper blade (they wouldn't let me do it myself), $90 to replace my license plate bulbs ($7.50 for a pack of two at Autozone, two screws each to get to the bulbs). They wanted $900 to do my rear brakes (they said shoes and drums and wheel cylinders needed to be replaced), but after calling around to other shops in town every other estimate was $400-600 worst case scenario. They also said I needed all new tires since I made the second mistake of telling them the car had just been sitting for an extended period of time. But when I took the car to a tire place last week I was told my tires looked almost new (they were, they were purchased just prior to the last inspection) and didn't need replacing, and that any flat spots in my tires from them sitting had likely worked themselves out after driving on them more.I ended up taking the car to another local shop (with no bad reviews) who changed the brakes and drums for $400 total. They also verified the tires were in good shape and that the rear wheel cylinders were fine.Bottom line, York Tire & Auto wanted over $1700 to pass the safety inspection, even though the car had largely been sitting and was even exempt for the emissions inspection since it had less than 5000 miles since last inspection. They flat out wanted to rob me. An honest shop would have said, "Hey we can't pass your inspection because the tires have flat spots from sitting, but if you drive on them more they will likely even out."With so many auto shops in this area there's no reason to take your car to a place like this where they will look for every opportunity to upsell you on things you likely won't need. Buyer beware. Also, please don't share my private information such as my car type when you inevitably respond to this review.

I'm a former mechanic needed front end alignment everything on the truck is brand new lady at desk told cause it's all new it would cost extra starting at 200 I said good bye right down the street another shop in yoe 60 bucks as it should be...Thanks for responding Mr owner as I said former mechanic camber on this truck is 2 spacers under top ball joint and toe is 2 turnbuckles on tierod ends for any experienced mechanic it's an hr job so charging 200 is a rip off especially when all nuts and bolts are brand new no rust or grime to combat you heard new parts and were upset you couldn't upcharge the parts to further rip me off
