If you were looking for a personal and professional service stick with your local tax guy. Not these pop-up H&R Block’s. No problem knocking out my 2023 return in five minutes for almost $400 but when it came to a 2022 amendment all of a sudden it’s been weeks with no follow up. Even after reaching out 3 separate times.

Dropped off taxes over two weeks ago. They calle a week after them being dropped off, but at almost 9pm, when I returned the phone call the next day I was told someone would contact me. It was over a week when someone finally called back to set up an appointment. Still haven't gotten my taxes completed and waiting to just review my taxes.

Forgot how $$$ H&R block services are. The lady i worked with was nice but I did get the feeling that she just wanted a fast return and I had to Prompt a lot to have buissnes credit applied to my tax situation and even then I feel like I left alot on the tabel.

I am compelled to try and save people from the horrific experience I've endured. Over a month ago I went to H&R block for my taxes. The representative, Mary Santoro assisted me and my husband. Mary inputted the wrong information into our form and stated that we would owe $500. This was before the forms were even completed. When we asked her why, she giggled and stated "oh, looks like your employer didn't withhold the right tax amount." I stated I had worked for the same company for nearly a decade. She told us, "oh, um yea, I'm not sure." After talking further with Mary she realized that she had inputted the wrong information. Thankfully we stopped it before finalizing the forms. She never apologized for this. Over a month later we received a letter from the IRS stating we owed money. I contacted H&R since I had paid for the insurance to have my tax return managed by them. I called today and spoke with the receptionist, who said Mary would contact me when she came in. I received a text for a phone apt for this evening. A few hours later Mary called me, I asked if the receptionist had informed her of why I called and she said "oh she said you had a question about your return." I relayed my concerns about the letter. Mary began telling me what was wrong with my return in specific detail, almost as if she was reading from a list. Which was confusing since she seemed to not know the details of my original call. I told Mary that I was confused and she began speaking over me. I placed her on speaker for my husband and family to hear because I was confused by her behavior and what she was saying. She then hung up on me. I tried calling back twice, and the receptionist said Mary would call me later and tried to deny Mary hung up on me, but I stated Mary had been on speaker and their were witnesses. She then apologized and said Mary would call me later. Mary called this evening and informed me what happened on my return which was fine. I asked why she hung up and she became defensive and again talked over me. Thankfully i had family here and placed her on speaker to again hear this behavior. I asked for manager as she was not letting me speak and continued aggressively talking over me. The manager, Nori Lyons came on and said she heard our conversation and my voice from 3 cubicles away. I became very upset after she insinuated that I was wrong and loud. I informed her that this was horrible service and that it isn't the way to treat paying customers. Nori said she wanted to talk and I said I only wanted her name and was done, she then hung up on me as well. I was stunned, who does this?? I called back and asked for her name when she answered and she gave me it. Please avoid this place at all costs. I cannot believe the behavior of not just an employee but an office manager. What happened to customer service?

Tax preparation personal was rude, snauty, did not want to work with me or listen to what I had to say. She was drilling me. Asked to speak with the manager, was told that the manager knows nothing about tax preparations. I took money out of my 401k during the covid issues my household was having, we needed that help. She told me I was getting penalized for that withdraw, which is incorrect. She tried telling me that I was not sick and was not with someone that was sick so therefore I get penalized. I have the IRS print out that explains who qualifies and that is what my financial advisor and I went off of. I removed my taxes and will not go back to H&R again. I've been a customer since 1999 never had a bad experience until these people got in the office
