Never ever bring your car to Safelite, particularly Safelite, Reading. I am now going on my fifth encounter with them where they are incompetent, can’t get the job done and have no managerial staff available to speak to.
Encounter 1- had a minor chip the size of a quarter brought it in to be repaired (Cost $200)
Encounter 2- the chip turned into a giant crack within days which resulted in needing an entire windshield replacement/recalibration. They credited the $200 I already spent towards the replacement total cost $1193. (I understand this can happen, but what is stopping them from doing shotty work to make people get entire replacements?)
Encounter 3- a few weeks later my rearview mirror falls down, leaving the wires and camera exposed. Safelite comes out to fix it under warranty.
Encounter 4- the mirror falls again the very next day, they tell me I need to bring my car back into their shop for a whole new windshield/recalibration. Again this is under their warranty, which I can’t imagine is very financially advantageous for their company, and at this point I’ve had to rearrange my schedule several times and be inconvenienced by these appointments.
Encounter 5- they called me today and tell me my windshield is replaced, but they were unable to recalibrate it because the sunlight in their shop is “too bright”. They told me to take it to one of their other shops another hour away where they have “different shop windows”. I said well what happened when you replaced it last month there was still sunlight wasn’t there?? I asked him to wait another hour or two and try again and he tells me that he can’t because he’s too busy with other jobs. I said I have a job too that I have missed three times now in order to accommodate your incompetence with no manager available to speak to.

Horrible service! Do not go here! An hour into my appointment they tell me they never inspected the glass they were going to put on my car and it was broken. Who runs a business like that? Avoid this place at all cost.

First it was like pulling teeth just to speak with a live person. Then they wouldn't give me a quote on fixing a stone chip unless I gave them all MY information, which they don't need just for a stone chip quote. I didn't use them and NEVER will

Had a small chip for 3 years. It hadn't spread, but I figured I'd get it taken care of. The tech showed up, started working and then called me to let me know thay he was done. I came out to pay and there was a crack in my windshield, about 3 inches wide. He kindly let me know I wouldn't be charged, that he filled it with the resin, so "it should be okay", but that I might now need a full replacement.

I had a small chip in my windshield on my drivers side and the tech who worked on my car (Steven) did a really good job on the repair. Looks great. Definitely recommend safelite to anyone with a big/small repair or needing a replacement.

Had two dings in my windshield that needed to be fixed. No mobile tech appts available so I made an appt to come here. From the time I got there, it was done in less than 30 minutes. Tech was very nice and thorough, highly recommend!

Nobody likes a damaged windshield. However Safelite has the customer service to put you at ease. Wonderful experience when they came to my home and replaced my windshield. Highly recommended!!

First of all, how many times do you need to be reminded of your upcoming appointment? I believe I received 4 reminders. Received a call the vehicle was ready for pickup at 11:00. Did not check out until 3:00? Upon leaving the parking lot, error dash light was flashing, needed to go back for a re-calibration? Still waiting on repairs???? Lost day of work, mileage re-embursement???? Just tried leaving the parking lot, problem still not resolved? Are you kidding me? Back in the shop again, is this a joke or am I being recorded for a TV show about to flip out?

No live representative to speak with regarding your concerns. Phone system will hang up on you even if you say "Other opinions".
