So I brought a customer here to pick up her rental car. When she went in, she gave them her credit card. At that point, she was informed that she didn't have enough available on her credit card for them to rent her a car. Why was she not informed of these charge amounts on the phone. She was able to make the reservation, pay for the extra insurance, and drive out here. Then told, "Sorry, oh not sorry, we can't rent you the car". Due to their lack of communication. Terrible place.

Our reservation confirmation indicated what our "total due at counter" would be. The associate insisted that the price we had to pay was actually higher "because there are more taxes" - even though taxes were also shown on our confirmation. There was no further explanation or "let me see what the issue could be". She couldn't care less about resolving the cost issue and wanted to focus more on the upsells. She began by telling us that our car wasn't available but we could upgrade. After we declined multiple times, she then exclaimed that she "did" have our car available, but it isn't "brand new". Another slimey way to get us to spendmore.Additionally, no rental details were discussed, such as confirming "you are shown to be returning the car on X date and time" nor do they explain that the credit card holder must also be the driver.You can add a spouse as a driver for free, but only if you are a "rewards member". If you are not, there is a daily fee. Of course, they do not tell you that the rewards program is FREE and takes mere minutes to sign up online, something you could do standing right in front of them. It's a truly deceptive practice and just another way to squeeze more money out of you.Of course when voicing any of the above, the associate reacted as though "I" was the one at fault and being rude. With the lack of transparency, pushing of more fees, and lack of caring about "why" the total was not matching, this location clearly puts profit and commission first...and customer service somewhere towards the bottom.Even more shocking, I later learned that the woman I dealt with was the manager. What a person to be the face of this company. This didn't have to be a stressful experience, yet it was entirely. Hertz is definitely off my rental list for good.

The local Enterprise cancelled my reservation on the day of pickup so I turned to Hertz. Stephanie was a pleasure to interact with. She went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic rental experience with my last-minute scramble to locate a vehicle. Five star service for sure!

Rented a Ford explorer for our trip from pa to FL. Truck was nice and the rental process was super easy and their prices were very cheap. Very friendly staff

This place is trash. My daughter rented a car, paid $162. When she got there they then decided to run a credit check after taking her money days earlier. Her credit was denied and now has to wait 7-10 for her refund. While I understand a credit check is normal..perhaps they need to do that before taking someone's money.

I rented a 7 passenger vehicle to take a road trip to Atlanta GA for labor day I pre paid for this vehicle. Once in ATL the rear passenger door malfunctioned and would not shut properly on the day of my son's 1th birthday leaving me no choice but to cancel his party. I called hertz emergency roadside assistance Alvin and was told that someone would come pick up the rental soon and that I would be given a voucher for an uber and a confirmation number to the airport to get a replacement rental. I was told i had to go to the airport as they have the most selection of cars. This was around 630pm no one came for the rental until 430am. The next morning I was picked up and taken to the airport about an hr away from where I was staying. When I arrived they tried to give me a smaller vehcito which I explained would not work as we needed a 7 passenger vehicle. At the time they had none in my reservation class and I was told I would have to wait for one to be dropped off. I asked if I could upgrade my reservation to which I was told I could only do where I made the reservation which was here lancaster ave. Since I was out of state I called and explained my situation to Josh a current employee. He was ride and unprofessional and said to me that "well that not how the door was when we gave you the car" he hen told me he would speak with his manager and call me back which he never did. I called customer service gave them the confirmation number from Alvin only to be told it didnt exist and was told that I could upgrade my reservation at the counter which i was already told i could not by the employee at the counter. I asked to speak to a manger and explained my situation again and was told that there was nothing anyone could do except possible refund me once I returned that car in pa. I waited 3 hrs before they finally had a vehicle big enough for my party size. When I drove off the lot and got halfway back to my airbnb the add oil icon came on in the new vehicle and since i new i would be driving for 12 plus hours i bought oil and added to the car. When I arrived back in reading to return the car I was met by Josh I explained to him my frustration and asked for a full refund to which he said he would have to speak to the gm. After an hour I had to leave for work but was called later and told that they felt refunding me for one day 83 dollars was sufficient on a rental I spent over 500 for. Despite losing 150 on canceling my son's party, spending 3 ours with no help at the airport for no reason when I could have gone to a closer hertz location and buying oil which I was not even offered a refund for. I will never rent from here again and I advise anyone looking to rent a vehicle to try enterprise or anywhere else but hertz.

I went to pick up my reservation and they didn't have a car for me. Just a huge truck they were holding for someone and a tiny 2-person economy car. I had a mid-size reserved. I had to wait for them to get a car in and cleaned. I returned the car on the day I had entered when I made the reservation. Since the location wasn't open, I put the key in the lock box located near the door.I returned my car on the Sunday that I stayed and it's now 4 days later and still have not received any confirmation that the car was returned in Hertz's system. I contacted Hertz through Facebook messenger and found out that the location hasn't closed my rental yet. I've tried calling the but the number given on both Google and the Hertz web site only connect you to an automated system. I can't get through to the location, only a call center.The rep I chatted with put in a request to close out the rental, so we'll see if anything comes of this and how it is resolved.As of right now, I won't rent from this location in the future. I get a corporate discount from Hertz, but when I need to rent a car close to home, I'll pay a little more and go elsewhere. This discount is not worth the worrying or hassle that this caused.

So my family went through a major incident and called hertz Saturday for pickup.After calling for almost 2 hours today because they never came by, I get hung up on. Why is that? because the person no the phone saturday provided different information than the person did today. So HERTZ hung up, the phone. I will be escalating this all the way up the chain. Don't go here, unprofessional not worth the stress in an already extremely stressful situation.

I wish I could put a zero star. We reserved a cargo van weeks ago, went to pick it up today and they didn't have one for us. We have an apartment full of things that need to be moved today and the van we rented isn't there. I'm sorry- what kind of business works this way! We now have a mess on our hands and don't know what to do. Thank you Hertz for being unreliable!

This location is fantastic. Josh the manager and his professional team do an exceptional job. The cars and trucks are all late models and always ready to go when you arrive . Hertz corporate has baseline expectations of its customers when renting, credit card , age etc. When those requirements are met the process is smooth and efficient. The cars are always clean and the Hertz agents always friendly, polite, professional. 5 stars to this Hertz location because of a strong hands on manager.

Had a great experience here. First time renting a car on my own. Ryan was a big help! He worked to get me the best rate, took the time to explain everything, and answer all my questions. Being a busy place after 5 there was a little wait, but Ryan worked quickly to get through the line.

Excellent customer service here. Returned a vehicle that was dirty when we rented it. Instead of charging us a $100 fee when I Returned the vehicle, the sales associate actually took the time to see that the vehicle was rented to us in that condition.. Its refreshing to be treated with respect like he treated me.. wish I could remember his name lol. Anyway if u want to rent a car from honest people I would DEFINITELY SUGGEST YOU GO HERE. Thanks again for the a1 service and treatment
