“If you want somewhere that you feel loved for being you and are welcomed with open arms to try on a multitude of dresses Brides of Today is your place. As a plus size bride I have heard so many horror stories about people going to buy their dresses and being met with unwelcoming faces and a dress selection of less than ten dresses. My mom worried about the location that I started as she thought back to her time dress shopping and the unwelcoming faces she was greeted with almost five sizes smaller than I am.

I found Brides of Today on TikTok and quickly booked my appointment. After over an hour drive, and crossing two state lines I was shocked by the environment of Brides of Today. Upon walking in I was told about how beautiful I was, I welcomed in, and shown a selection of dresses all of which were my size or above. They had already pulled the dresses I had favorited on their website and I got to try them all on. Not once did I feel judged by anyone within the room, the atmosphere was positive and I felt the most comfortable I have probably ever felt at a clothing store/salon.

Within an hour and a half I found myself saying “Yes to the Dress” and crying in relief that not only had I been welcomed into the shop but that I had found my dress at the first store I went to. Brides of Today might not have the dress you are envisioning yourself in, but they do have the environment that can help you start your journey or pick you back up if you are feeling down in the experience.”
