In my household we have 3 cars that have been serviced by Carrs and have been pleased with the work performed. Most recently, I had an appointment for an alternator replacement with nearly a weeks notice, two and a half business days after dropping the car off I had not heard anything from Carrs and was told they had not started the work yet when I called due to being busy with customer inspections. The work was completed 5 days after dropping the car off but the bill differed from the quote quite a bit. The quote states [includes: test] under the Alternator, and I had asked them to test the used alternator I supplied before installing, being under the impression that testing was included as many places like Autozone, O’reilly and Advance Auto offer free alternator testing but the testing was billed as a separate line item. I asked about this during pickup and was given an answer I didn’t really understand. The techs perform high quality work but I would have appreciated a bit more communication and transparency from Carrs.

I recently brought my car to Carr's to get an enhanced inspection and 4 wheel alignment. The inspection went fine, but I found that the steering rack boots (on a brand new steering rack) were twisted after the alignment. No problem, I understand that people make mistakes.
I untwisted the boots, and found one boot was ripped due to driving with the boots twisted (I did not check their work until two weeks after the alignment). I brought the car back to Carr's, and they said there were no rips. They even said multiple people looked at it. Okay, maybe what I saw wasn't really a rip. I brought the car back home and immediately found the same rip from before. I'm not sure how they missed something that only took me a few seconds to find once I lifted the car. I ended up fixing their mistake myself. I would not recommend Carr's unless you plan on fixing their work afterward.

This place came first recommended to me by my electrician and then again on a community Facebook page. Took my wife's 2006 Honda Accord there for its annual PA inspection. Carr's recommended an appointment which I didn't have an issue with. I made it for early in the morning because I know noise apportionments like these are best dealt with early with a shop. The place was very unassuming with very minimal signage. Blink and you will miss it. I think I even made an illegal bat turn into the driveway because I overshot it. But I think in the case of this place it comes under the category of "if you know, you know". And based on the volume of cars and trucks and tractors parked, a lot of people know. No one attempted to jack me up for unnecessary repairs and they even confirmed my suspicions on where my wife's oil leak is coming from. Everything was straight forward and no fuss no muss and that's how you want your inspection to go. Having said that, I wouldn't recommend waiting in the reception area if you are in search of the car dealer waiting room experience. No WiFi and I barely had a phone signal in this part of the county. You'd be best to drop off and come back.

Will not be going back and do not recommend. I take good care of my vehicles so I took one of my vehicles there for alignment/inspection. They called me when it was done with an almost $500 bill, needless to say I requested an explanation as to why such a high price and told them at the very least they could have just simply given a call before trying to screw a local customer trying to support a local small business. They nickel and dimed me on a bunch of bulbs and their attention to detail is poor at best as they didn't reinstall both headlights properly. And on top of it all my vehicle ran for over 2 hours, at least 10 miles was put on it, and over 10 percent of the fuel tank was depleted all while at their shop. This is unacceptable in my book. I take pictures of my odometer, fuel gauge, and engine clock when I drop off somewhere exactly for this reason.

Outstanding Service and Repair! My auto did not start after filling with gas. After my husband got it started we took the car to Carr Automotive that evening and left a note thinking the car may need a water pump. I called Carr Auto the first thing Friday morning explaining the need to have my car fixed as soon as possible. We have a very ill relative in the hospital and it was important for me to have transportation to get there. Denise, the owner, explained how they were swamped and backed up but would make my car a priority. I was very happy to find out that my auto would be fixed by the end of the day. I was surprised to find that the issue was caused by rodents building a next in my engine! She provided a photo and an estimate of the work so I could send it to my husband. He said go ahead and get it fixed.I just want to give a shout out to this company for understanding my urgent need to get my car back and providing great service! They are a company I can trust and will recommend them to all my friends!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement
