I've been coming to this salon for a few years and I've always been happy even wrote a very lengthy review of my experience. Unfortunately, once Meghan and Carmen left things went down hill in quality and customer service. I went in for my normal color, cut and a blow dry. My appointment was with Shelly I came into the appointment and explained my expectations of my hair and was told "No problem" we've seen each other in passing several times so I trusted her. Well I was super disappointed to say the least. After the color and blow out immediately noticed 1) my grays weren't covered 2) the areas that did take some sort of color was orange which was completely out of place because I have dark brown hair. 3) the "blow out" was a frizzy wet mess. I mentioned my concerns to Shelly and was told "you have stuborn grays that need a different formula we'll have to fix it in 4/6 weeks when you come back" HUH? So you knew there was an issue and you still proceeded to take my money and send me about my way. The frizzy wet mess "I was told you don't get your hair dried" HUH? It doesn't matter what your source "told" you asked me what we were doing today and at that point you knew that it was getting blew out. My hair was so frizzy and not to mention it was still wet when I left due to her being "finished" I'm not sure if I got the "we'll fix it another time" treatment because I'm not an every 6 week client or because the expectation of the salon has drastically went down or because one of her regulars were there but either way I'll never be back.

I came in yesterday for a haircut. I was going from long hair too short hair. I presented a number of pictures of what I was looking for. I left leaving very happy and loving everything but the length in the back. It needed to be a little bit shorter and more stacked like an A-line. Later in the afternoon I called to see if I could have the back shortened a little bit and they gladly fit me in today. Today I am in tears and HATE my haircut. They cut all the length from the front. I explained that I wanted the back shorter. But they cut the length of the front off by inches. I am In tears and just feel sick, physically nauseous. When I came in yesterday I showed them a picture of what my hair looks like very short and how I do not like it and did not want it that short. Move to today and I have a man's haircut. I have never been so upset over a haircut. I cannot stop crying. It will take a minimum of six months to grow this out.

I'm new to the area, I've tried two different salons and I was still searching. I depend on yelp reviews for all different establishments and decided to look for " my favorite stylist" reading the reviews on Silver Shears, I decided to give it a whirl. I was thrilled when they were able to fit me in on the same day and was told Carmen ( the nice lady on the other end of the phone) was going to be my stylist. From the minute I entered the salon, I knew I was in the right place! More importantly Carmen listened intently to my request, I asked her to fix the color from my last root touch up and of course the 2 inches of grey and needed her to blend more highlights to the 4inch growth. I'm not even sure I had to explain as mush as I did, Carmen has the talent to just look at my brown, black, and grey lol and knew exactly what to do. I am thrilled to have met my new stylist, and a salon with class. I love the final results, and for the first time my husband noticed something was different by saying "why am I all dressed up" I said I have the same thing on as when I left. Its your hair he replied, and I didn't break the bank! Very fairly priced! Thank you Carmen I would recommend you to anyone who ask! I found my stylist......

I travel 20 miles, or 35 minutes (passing many other salons on my way) to go to Silver Shears Salon to get my hair done. I have been doing this for the last 7 years because they are the best in the Lehigh Valley! They have the most talented stylists, and I always get great service there. The staff is so friendly, and goes out of their way to make sure you have an excellent experience. The salon is a warm and relaxing environment, a nice escape from the hectic outside world. I highly recommend Silver Shears Salon!

I was in town for a wedding, a Saturday. First, the owner returned my message in minutes to let me know she would accommodate my same day blowout/styling appointment! Shelly, who did my hair, was so talented.. I'm very picky, lol.. I have long extensions and needed alot of curle and volume. She created a beautiful masterpiece!!!! Even including some Bobby pins and cute tiny twist up with the style. Perfect for the formal wedding and my hair was total bombshell approved! ;) Salon was so cute, entire staff friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend and just wish I lived near Shelly so I could be a client! Thanks ladies!!!

I've been going to Silver Shears for a year now, and have been revitalized! Ann is a whiz with cutting and styling--and her confidence makes me confident! Shelly is caring and helpful. She is so knowledgeable and is willing to explain why color does what it does ( or doesn't do!). Everyone is friendly and the salon has an inviting atmosphere.

Silver shears is a hidden gem, I don't know where to even start. I called the salon looking for a drastic change; I wanted to cut off 9 inches and add blonde ombré. Shelly did an amazing job consulting me and giving me advice. We had a nice little journey together with my hair and I'll never look back. Customer for life!

I went to this salon because of the good reviews. It's a gorgeous little salon that offers a lot of services. I cannot remember the woman who cut my hair but I probably won't go back. She spend almost two hours cutting my hair and I eventually had to tell her to stop. My hair cut wasn't horrible but it wasn't worth the money I paid. It was very choppy and not what I asked for. I really have never been to a salon and received the cut I asked for. I will continue to search for a hair dresser.

Started going here for haircut and color last summer. Salon itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable with great atmosphere and music. My hairstylist, Meghan, gets what I'm trying to do with color and style, which is huge for me because I've had problems getting what I want in the past. And everyone is so friendly which makes it more fun.

OMG. I was out East from CA on November 1 for a family situation and needed someone to fix by botched up haircut. I went to silver shears, and was lucky enough to get in with Anne. She's wonderful! I haven't had a haircut this good in years! It's now been 6 weeks and it's growing out perfect! The only problem is I'm here and she's there! If ever I'm in PA I'll be back to see Anne! Thank you!
