Stopped in today, Monday to shop local. Online hours say open and physical shop sign said open on Monday but NOT open for business apparently. I'd like to shop local for my butcher but I need a reliable business that keeps their hours as advertised.

6/5/2004. I went to the butcher shop for the first time today I got the fried chicken and cheesecake it was absolutely amazing I would recommend The butcher shop to anyone if you try it you'll go back guaranteed

One of the best butchers around the meat is always fresh I get the meat for that grill and I get that cheese steak for right now the place is phenomenal the people are phenomenal a true taste of South Philly.

If I can give 0 stars I would. I will never go to this place, the owner gives terrible direction. The owner has no sense of time management; the store is far from being ready to reopen. I have seen multiple violations and is not up to code with food safety or absolutely anything to my knowledge after being in the store. Servsafe is a huge requirement which the owner does not obtain. I have multiple years of experience and have worked with corporations that currently still succeed. I would not hire anyone by word of mouth. If someone comes to you for a job and offers to show you a resume and references and pictures of their success. Any business owner typically would review all of this. There is so much I can say that the Better Business Bureau and health will see as reasons to shut down the operation. This is not a family environment especially after the owner states if you bring your family in the store be prepared for them to be exposed to anything. Any great manager knows best that the way you address people affects your business. Especially around children. Lastly, I would never work anywhere ever again that won’t take proper identification first and have me fill out a I-9 and any other documents. 30 hours put out between myself and my wife and no pay to show for it. Along with our own money put out as well. Any comment to this can be seen as justification for why any of this would be okay only proving it’s not.

I thought my anger was bad but I would never cuss in front of a child/children that were not my own! The f-bomb is thrown around like nothing there. Also name calling that was not necessary at all. No longer a child don’t act like one!

Ten stars! This little gem in Pottstown has to be your next first stop for groceries, a quick bite, or take out cheesesteaks for the whole crew! It's businesses like this that make you say to yourself on the way out the door that you enjoy giving these people your business! They could not be more helpful, courteous and just simply a joy to deal with, the products sold are top notch and impossible to match elsewhere and fairly priced. The store is clean and well organized and they even have a little gift counter where they sell locally handmade items supporting other local artist and I say other artist because the way they run this business is artist quality! Run don't walk to support this proud addition to the local market!

Mark and Dottie are the sweetest people around! Their shrimp basket is absolutely delicious and they make an effort to get to know me. I’m so glad I met them and I stop by twice a week for meat. I love this place so much ❤️

I went in to discuss a Discrepancy that I had and the owner mark approached me aggressively with his body language and used verbal Obsenity's towards me. Owner is very angry and bad business owner. There is no Professionalism with this business when it comes to on time management, customer service, and personal accountability and responsibility. I definitely will not recommend this place to anyone.

We ordered mac&cheese it didn't have a seasoning it tasted bland and it didn't have cheddar cheese in it for $25 will never go there again and I don't recommend it to anyone I can make better homemade mac&cheese then that.
