-1 star because the clubhouse and bar are absolute dumps.-1 star because a group of 12 of us were charged $75 for a 3pm round in October where we’d only get in 16 holes due to slow pace of play.-1 star because the course has absolutely no drainage, resulting in puddles everywhere and soggy play.In summary: Lots of better options out there to spend your money. Jack Frost was the same price and the 2 are not even close to being on the same playing level.

Find some of these reviews weird unless it's a totally different course when wet. We enjoyed our round here immensely tee boxes in great shape fairways mostly in good shape and greens. There was not may people here for some reason. Saw several snakes so maybe don't travel too far into woods.

Had a nice round here despite the terrible conditions, having rained 1"+ overnight. Although the course was damp overall, it drained well with no standing water anywhere. The guy in the clubhouse was nice, and didn't charge me for my 7-year old (who it turns out barely played due to the weather). The starter was friendly as well. I was the third or fourth group out for the day, and never really saw anyone ahead of me or behind me. We could have finished in 3 hours if we had wanted, although I'm sure that's not the norm. The course is interesting with a ton of elevation changes (primarily elevated tee boxes), and will eat balls with trees lining every hole from tee to green. One interesting thing is that I don't think I saw a single bunker on the entire course. The other thing is that although the course rating implies that the course is easy, I found that the greens were incredibly difficult, even on a wet day. I would definitely come back here to play again if I'm in the area.

Only got in 10 due to rain but under normal conditions would appear to be a nice course. Photo of black bear we scared out of the woods with errant tee shot. Will update review once I can play a full round.

The good: the day started off great! The starter rolled up to our vehicle in a golf cart as we pulled into the parking lot. He was funny, welcomed us, and took our clubs from the truck. Soon after he shared some local course knowledge, wished us a good day and got us off five minutes early. Unfortunately, except for the beautiful weather, that's where the good ends. The bad: 5:20 hr round, wait times exceeded 15 min on a few holes, didn't see cart girl until 13 holes in, nice but apathetic rangers who just said "we are crowded", and way less than $70 round conditions. We will never be back. Save your money and time!

Came here for 18 with some buddies for 18. Bert, our starter came right up and made sure we were accommodated and supplied us with some tips for play on the course. For a late season round, the fairways, greens, and tee-boxes were in excellent condition. All this for a fair price.

Golf course has a lot of unique holes. Greens were in good shape and true. Overall, I think the golf course can use some TLC. I definitely would play it if you’re visiting the Poconos.

I’ll start with a positive, the greens are in good shape, but alternatively fast and slow. Otherwise, this is a course desperately in need of a total renovation. Mud everywhere, despite the fact we haven’t had much rain. The cart paths are treacherous and everything just looks worn down and broken. Finally, $65 greens fee is a bit much, in my opinion. Overall pretty disappointing.

3 stars only because the women and senior tee boxes were non-existent on certain holes. Doesn't seem right to charge the same price for men and women. The men's/Pro's tee boxes were in very nice condition only to have some of the women's tee box just be two pins in the fairway. I had high hopes after seeing the women's tee box on hole one, but it wasn't consistent. Otherwise, it's a challenging course with some unique holes. Wouldn't be my first choice when deciding where to go next time.

The Manor was completely destroyed by fire but the Century old golf course is open when the weather allows. Usually April to November. I love the course and everyone I’ve met there feels the same way. Newcomers always have great things to say. You will not be disappointed by this old timer.

The head of pro shop, is very rude, arrogant and aggressive. Don’t go to play there! You will ruin your vacation.

This place was amazing and was on the historic register. Built in 1902 and had great charm, old wood work, and old stone walls, but unfortunately it burned to the ground this past weekend. It is a terrible loss to the community and everyone who lives in the area.

We arrived at the hotel. From the outside it looked promising. Lots of cars in the parking lot. we went in to check in and were greeted with a long line of people also waiting to check in. There was only 1 desk clerk and he did not know how to use the property management system, after waiting about 1 hour with no progress that person went on break and left the desk completely unattended and the line still just as long as when we arrived. There was apparently no manager on duty, I suppose because THEY ARE CLOSING IN 4 WEEKS!!. after a few hours we finally got the key to our room, there was no bellhop on duty so I loaded the bags myself on the cart and took them to my room. Once we arrived at our room it was dead bolted shut and we had to go back and have it opened. Once opened we finally met where we would be staying for the next two days. It looked as though it had be updated since the early 1900s except for the fact that it had electricity and running water. There were stains on the bedding and carpet. And the room was decorated with 1 lonely floor lamp, a dresser, and a bed/ headboard that looks all original to the hotel, I was not sure if I was at an antique sale or the place I was to be sleeping that evening. Luckily as soon as we started to settle in the room and contemplate driving back to New York after a ruined trip, The Mount Airy Casino called and advised that they had a suite available for us to check into. I bell hopped myself to the lobby and loaded my car and left this place in the dust! Would not recommend to anyone. Good thing they are renovating.

If I'm not happy with a place I normally just don't leave a review. Writing a glowing review is a lot more fun. But our experience at this hotel was something that I need to share because I've never experienced it before. When we got to the hotel it was check-in time. There had to be at least 20 people online and one person behind the check-in desk. The people who had already been waiting on line told us it was taking 15 minutes per person which explains why the line was getting longer and longer. While still on line for a good 45 minutes the one person behind the desk announced he was taking a 5 to 10 minute break. We all thought he was joking but he actually left. Everybody demanded a manager come out and none ever showed. Once he was gone for about 20 minutes 2 employees showed up who had no idea how to manage the check-in desk. They did their best and the line did begin to move. All in all check-in took an hour and a half. When we got to our room which was small and dated but clean, we were there about an hour when our door opened and a couple who was about 5 people behind us online walked in. They have been given the same room. Luckily we were there first and didn't have to start the process over like they did. We did hear from Kitchen staff that the hotel is closing in November so maybe they just don't care. No discounts no apologies nothing. We will never be back.
