“Good experience over all. We got our puppy's first set of shots for 13.00, which is great. But you have to give the dog the shots yourself. We also got a huge bone for him to chew on. He loves it. We'll be back for our next set of shots.”

“If you have a dog, you need to get yourself here! I am so in love with this sweet shop and will be stopping by every time I am in Manayunk, which is usually with my pooch since it's on our way back from hikes at the Wissahickon. This bakery has a play area which I didn't even realize until I went to write this review, and they also have the cutest cookies, treats, accessories, and goodies for your dog. The staff here was the absolute sweetest and the vibes are just very good. My dog was so happy to be there and thoroughly enjoyed her St. Paddy's Day "lucky" cookie later that day. They were having a dog party later in the day, replete with doggie beer (LOL) treats, and playtime. I am so happy to know this business exists and will absolutely be getting my dog's birthday cakes and treats from here moving forward. An excellent addition to the already very dog-friendly Manayunk. Feel free to replicate my new dream Saturday: long hike at the Wiss, brunch on a patio, and a stop by this awesome shop. Tell your dog I say hi!”

“Service is top-notch. I had purchased a large dog crate that I never opened, well past any other stores return policy, but it was never opened. Braxtons returned without a question. As a purchaser of raw/frozen food for my standard, you must be very careful where you buy. If the raw food is not stored properly, your dog can get very sick. My standard has been sick 2x in her life and it was when I purchased raw at another store. Family owed business are the BEST! If prices are higher than other "chains," its worth the extra money for quality and service!”
“Cool Dog Gear - it’s kind of in the name. They have all sorts of toys, treats, collars, harnesses, etc. They also host training sessions, have obstacle courses setup in the back, and have other dog-centric events. Most importantly the staff and owner(s) are wonderful. I went in with my dog to purchase a new harness and they took the time to help me find exactly what fit, let me try it on the dog before purchasing, and in general were just very pleasant and helpful. It’s nice to be able to support a small local business rather than relying on the typical online retailers or larger chains - give Cool Dog Gear a visit.”

“Francisvale is such an incredible shelter! We were looking at a kitten online and after some very kind phone calls & emails we came into the center to meet him. It is very clear that the animals are extremely well cared for and the staff loves them. In particular, Cristina and Dorothy were so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. We adopted our kitten, and they were so excited to see him go to his forever home. A few days after the adoption I was hoping to get some advice regarding making sure he felt completely comfortable and at home and both Cristina and Dorothy were quick on the phone with me with some incredible advice and ways to ensure he became acclimated quickly. They also followed up a few days later to confirm that things were going well. I have never had an experience so comfortable and kind, and it is so clear that this place is not about just getting animals to a home, but pairing animals to the correct family and lifestyle. I could go on and on, but you just have to go in and experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.Just a warning they do not do same day adoptions. Though, any animal lover would know that this is a sign of an extremely reputable shelter, as it gives families the opportunity to consider hard if a pet would fit comfortably into their life. Same day adoptions lead to much higher rates of animals placed back in shelters due to decision making based on emotions.”

“I love coming to City of Paws Pet Care for the self- wash. The staff are very kind and helpful throughout the session. I love how you pay based on the time you spent in the baths. This is helpful for me because I will overestimate how much time it will take to wash my large dog in the event she is not as cooperative as I would hope.”

I was freaking out because my puppy had the poops and the owner walked me through some amazing products that cleared my Yuri up In 2 days . “Had a great experience here purchasing our pomeranian puppy Bella ( Formally Tinana), the staff was very helpful and polite. The place was well kept and clean and even smelled good as well. “I took my dog to dog training to prepare for the CGC test. My dog has previous experience in dog training. Our trainer Lindsay is absolutely the best! We took the 6 week course to prepare for the test . She was very knowledgeable in the material. Her suggestions and corrections help out a lot. Her experience with all types of dogs is phenomenal. I would highly recommend the dog training at Petco and I would also recommend Lindsey as well she will exceed your expectations.”

“Great neighborhood pet supply store in our area. I will never go into a big box store again after finding dogs & cats 2 years ago. Their staff take their time with you if need suggestions or have questions. They helped me pick out a food for my dog with terrible sensitive skin & allergies and their food suggestions helped him and his skin immediately - it cleared with no problems since. Their homemade dog bakery selection is adorable, we buy a “cake” every birthday for our dog as well.”

“This was our first time at Ham + Bone Fishtown but I think we’ve found our spot! Jayla did such an amazing job with Samson and checked in with me throughout his time there which was greatly appreciated. When I picked him up I could tell that he was very comfortable. I took him to another place in fishtown and he seemed terrified which is why I haven’t returned. Thanks to the Ham + Bone fishtown l team for taking such good care of our Sammy! “I have now had two wonderful experiences with Vincent. The first grooming was for a dog that was found on the street, and he was taken to several groomers prior to Vincent, where he was nipping? Biting? I informed Vincent, and he reassured me everything would go smoothly, and it did!!! Eli received a great cut. Zoey was long overdue for a cut and received a beautiful trim, and Vincent plucked all the hair from her ears, really an incredible job. Added pictures Zoey is black, Eli white. I can not say enough great things about Vincent's professionalism and skill. I am so thankful I found him. Thank you Vincent.”
“I adopted a dog at the beginning of the pandemic when things were pretty chaotic. The SPCA handled the transition about as well as anybody did during that time and we were able to schedule a visit to meet 2 potential dogs. Everything went smoothly and we took our new dog home that day (sadly, he just passed away after 4 wonderful years with us, as he was older when we adopted him).Edit: a few days ago I returned and had another wonderful experience with adopting again. I put in an application online and was called about a week later (I believe this is because the dog was on a stray hold, so I was called as soon as the hold expired). We had to wait to be able to take him home because he had to be neutered, but we were able to visit the dog a couple of times in between the time we adopted him and were able to take him home. Staff were pleasant and friendly every time.”

“We have been taking a large frisky puppy to Willow Grove's Petsmart for training. Lauara is the trainer. She is doing an excellent job of working with owners to train theiir dogs to want to follow commands and to pay attention to their person, initially for treats and eventually to just do what their person wants as its own reward. From my observation, the dogs seem more trainable than their people and it is very easy to spot those who work with their dog and those who don't. Laura is patient with everyone and has a very real understanding of what makes a dog tick. It was amazing to see the vast improvement in dogs and their owners in the beginers class. In the intermediate class where more is expected of the dogs and their owners, progress is a bit more spotty, but there is still progress. When Laura uses one of the dogs in the class to demonstrate a lesson, she ususally succeeds. She shows patience with the dogs and encourages their owners to work with the dog, to not get upset, to use and to think of treats as a reward for progress, not a bribe for cooperation, She encourages everyone to be positive and proud of their dogs. She recognizes that the owners are the key to training and tries to make it a positive expereince for them too.”

“The dogs love to walk around this store and see people and other dogs and sniff the shelves for the best toys and treats. It is odd that at home they snatch every toy or treat but here they know that it is not theirs. The customer service is generally very good. I took a star because prices can be a bit high but we still go and shop for the dog experience”
