This place is the best! The doctors and staff are outstanding in their care and consideration. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

My stay was amazing. I was hesitant about going to a rehab because I wanted to go straight home. The compassion and the care I received was top notch. The attention to detail, the therapy (that I didn’t have to worry about someone to get me to)down to the food was amazing. The people really care! I had people checking in on me, making sure I was comfortable, pain free and if not, doing everything they could to make sure my pain was under control. This was the best decision that I could have made to help my recovery. Had I gone home it would have been a struggle getting to and from appointments and therapy. The staff treated me with respect and I felt that I mattered. The staff seemed happy and that’s not something you see very often.I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs the extra step in recovery. I am grateful for the care and the opportunity to have been able to come here. I am now recovering and at home and would not have been able to be in this place had I not received the amazing care I experienced at encompass.

This is my third experience here each time close to 2 weeks each top of the line physical therapy professionalism all the way through nurses extremely knowledgeable and helpful the staff go out of their way in every way shaving form if you want a place to go in between having surgery and home this is the place to consider unlike other hospitals or rehabilitation nursing homes that come once a day and walk you down the hall turn you around and walk you back and you spend 23 hours and 45 minutes in your bed after that these people offer three plus hours of intense physical therapy a day good food good everything I'm telling you do not pass these people by if you're not ready to go home from your hospital come here and they'll make you ready to go home

I don't leave many reviews at all and I consider myself an understanding individual with a good bit of patience. My Grandmother was just recently in this facility after a pretty serious surgery. The surgery went well and her recovery going into encompass, was off to a great start. It wasn't but a few days after entering encompass she was tested positive for COVID. She may not have contracted it there, however it contributed to the point and the complaint I'm about to make. A few days into her stay her sugar was very low. They may have treated her sugar the best way they knew how, but last week when my mother went to see her, she was on the verge of diabetic shock in the room by herself for God knows how long. She wouldn't have made it much longer. Had my Mom got there any later she probably would be dead. I understand you are short staffed, however you must take care of our family members. We trust you with the lives of them.

We brought my mother in here for stroke rehabilitation. After a few days it was revealed that she needs a higher level of care that Encompass cannot offer so they have to send her to another facility. This is all understandable until we had to deal with the case manager Damon. Damon first promised to call me on the next day on Tuesday. Tuesday comes around, no phone call. I call on Wednesday. He didn’t seem to know anything about her case other than she needs to go somewhere else. He said she has to go to the first open bed available. I asked if we could call short term nursing rehab centers in our area and see if a bed was open. His response was “I guess you could.”Damon then promised to call me Friday for more details of the case because he hadn’t spoken to her yet. I call Friday, he hasn’t spoken to my mom but he says he will call next week with possible transfer options. One week passes without a phone call and I get a voicemail from a nursing home in Pittsburgh saying they are looking to accept my mom shortly. So no phone call that she was leaving the facility, no phone call for possible options. I could drive an hour to encompass and find out my mom is missing.I don’t ask for much. I’m a fairly patient person, the staff at encompass are all very sweet. I just want some communication, especially if you are going to discharge her without notifying next of kin or emergency contact. Truly unreal unprofessional behavior.

If I could give this place no stars I would! Go anywhere but here. The staff is very very rude and they don’t take care of their patients nor do they care or no what they are doing.

My grandma stayed at encompass after having a stroke. Some of the staff were rude and would act like it was a major inconvenience when she needed to go to the bathroom. I get that places are short staffed but it shouldn’t be getting taken out on patients. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

I had my mom there and it was a very good experience ( the best we had anywhere!) Respect, dignity, compassionate, honest (they returned a valuable ring my mom took off and put on a tray) . The Drs nurses, and other staff kept me well informed. The physical, speech and all therapies were great! I certainly give only the highest ratings (during my mom’s stay)! We were blessed!????

This is why I rate this place a 1 star after my girlfriend got her foot operated on she went there to get healed up and to have therapy they sent her home too early and they know it she was homeless they sent her to a motel for 2 weeks then I stayed with her there for a couple of days to change her dressing on her foot them encompass health kicked her to the street she had nowhere to go so I don't advise anyone to go to encompass health some of the workers there ave very disrespectful and rude and my girlfriends foot is infected because of this and might end up losing her foot over it see u guys in court

They need to pay more attention to their patients and when family has serious concerns, dont blow them off luke they have no idea what they are talking about. My father in law was a patient there last summer. we had concerns and was blown off like it was no big deal. the very next day he was taken by ambulance for being unresponsive and passed 2 days later from sepsis. He had all the signs but did nothing about it. I have addressed this issue with them afterwards and was told they would look into it and they were to call me back. Still waiting and that was August 2019.

I have nothing in me to recommend Encompass; my spouse had a stroke, has excellent insurance, but they sent him home in a condition that left him unable to manage even the most basic care. As a full time employee at PSU and the only working individual in the home, my task burden increased exponentially. They could have rehabbed him to the point where he was semi-functional on his own, but chose not. And follow up care or advice was non-existent. Unfortunately, in Centre county, you're stuck with them. Good Luck.

I had a knee replacement and spent some time in patient for my therapy. I dont even know how to begin to express my thanks to everyone that was responsible for my care. I wish I could name each and every single one of you, but just know if you had any part at all in my care, you are VERY much appreciated! I would highly recommend your facility to anyone that needs that little extra care after surgery. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything!

Following hip replacement surgery last August, I spent nine days at Encompass. The rehab was excellent and the care from everyone was more than I expected. I was very pleased with my stay and recommend it to anyone who needs rehab following surgery.
