Excellent service every time I visit! The staff here are consistently courteous, efficient, and helpful—even during busy hours. I appreciate how patient they are with questions and how smoothly the lines move. Convenient location right by campus and always a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem ! I use this office every time I’m in the city. I never had any issues shipping and tracking orders with the Post Office. But I a serious change of address issue that’s been going on for a while and happened to ask them about it. I tell you what, The clerk told her boss what was happening and he actually contacted my home office and explained to them how to correct it. I don’t live in Oakland but the staff always make me feel like a local every time Im there

There are two staff members at this location that provide the best customer service. The constant great service they provide has compelled me to show my appreciation for them.
Kia who is normally working at the front counter greets you with a smile and is always radiating positivity even at the end of a shift that may have been long and difficult. Kia has gone out of her way several times to assist me. Whether it’s helping me track down packages that may have been delivered to an incorrect address or figuring out some other issue, I can always rely on Kia. She is the best ever and deserves all the recognition for her amazing work!
James, who I have spoken with over the phone in the past, I just recently met in person at my last visit to this location. James is extremely professional and was able to help provide advanced support when it came to triaging the issue I was having with successfully having my mail forwarded. He was able to provide a solution right then and there on the spot. James’ dedication to providing excellent service is deserving of recognition as well!

I’m a student at pitt, and I own a clothing business so I’m constantly going to the post office. The one in Oakland is by far the best, each worker is so kind and helpful. I usually go about 2-3 times a week snd I’ve never had one bad experience here.

The ugly relatively older-age women wearing glasses is definitely rude as hell! She has negative attitude to customers and like she hate the work so much in the way hating people come to the USPS. The rest girls are pretty, nice and helpful (respect to the rest hardworking staffs! God Bless Them )

Placed a call on Monday to follow up on some mail that I had placed on hold until the previous Wednesday. The first time I called the phone was busy but when I called back moments later, someone picked up. The man who answered was polite and appropriate and said that he would check to see if they had the mail there. After an acceptable amount of waiting time, he got back on the phone to let me know it was not there, that the mail carrier must have it. (I had requested the mail be delivered by the carrier but had not yet received it and due to being in an apartment building where leaving mail in a pile outside of the mailbox would allow it to be unsecure, thought I'd explore its whereabouts at my local post office).I had received a print out of my mail hold request with the dates of the hold highlighted prior to my trip so anticipated this would be an organized operation. I will continue to pursue possibilities of where the mail may be (the apartment building's business office) or the Bloomfield post office where I asked it to be held if delivering the held mail would be difficult or logistically problematic for the carrier as this office is more accessible to me.I appreciated the acknowledgment of my request to hold the mail (per printed form and highlighted dates of hold) and the mail resumed the day following the end of the hold period. So far, no major complaints and after reading the largely negative reviews, thought I'd provide a not so bad experience.
