When I was in Pittsburgh for work last fall, I was fortunate enough to spend a week training with the fine folks at Stout Training at their Strip District location. They have loads of classes suited for every level of BJJ skill.
The skill level of the people at the gym is high and still very welcoming. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in town next. My huge thanks to Sage and Logan for their incredible welcome and for creating such a vibrant community of practitioners.
I would recommend the gym to anyone looking to learn or further their knowledge of the sport.
10/10

A great place to check out classes. Friendly and informative staff. All drills are practiced multiple times. Training partners are there to encourage everyone to grow. Multiple time slots for classes on different days. Would recommend.

I have been a member at Stout PGH for just over 3 years. I have participated in both the Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs. The instruction is top notch as are the facilities and training partners. I have gained confidence in my ability to protect myself and my family. I have made amazing friends and have lost 40 pounds. There is no better place to train than Stout PGH! Come dahn and train!

An excellent gym. I’m here 2-3 times a week for the workout, for proper technique, and an environment that is full of hard workers who respect others and the craft. All of these values are fostered here. I’m growing. I’m meeting really nice people and exchanging numbers. All of my back trouble has gone away now that I am in full-body shape. I’m learning rock solid fundamentals in Muay Thai and having a great time. This is worth every penny and drop of sweat I have put into it. It’s turned my life around. Next up: more noon classes!! :). Love this gym.

Awesome facility, coaches and members. I showed up with minimal experience and immediately felt at home in the fundamentals classes. Love that you can do both gi and no gi as a beginner. I train at both the strip and Bridgeville locations, really convenient with lots of class times throughout the week. The format for fundamentals is great with 35-40 mins of instruction followed by live training. Always a good workout. If you're on the fence check it out!

I dropped in from out of state. Immediately was welcomed with open arms.
Great facility. Great class. And great people.
I’m hopefully planning to attend CMU next year, so this will likely be my gym.

My son and I have been going to the Bridgeville location for almost 2 years now. It's been an amazing place to train. The coaches are fantastic, and the facility is kept clean. My son, Owen has trained there since he was 5. He does Jiu Jitu and Striking, while I only do Jiu Jitsu. He's 7 now and might enjoy going there more than I do. He trains regularly with about 5 different coaches depending on the day he is there or the activity he's doing. Coach Zach is always there and treats my son like family. I truly believe that Owen's performance in school and sports is directly contributed to how much confidence he's gained through training with coaches like Zach. Even the adults I train with treat him like family and several of them have kids that train there as well. It really is a second family to me, and I feel very privileged to have a Stout Training Gym so close to me. It's one of the very few things I can bond over with Owen. I have 2 youngers sons, and I can't wait to get them involved when they're older.

I travel, and I’ve been in a few gyms, and there is something happening at Stout. I’ve seen pro fighters, but I’ve never seen 2-3 fighters making their pro debut month-after-month and athlete after athlete putting up 4-0, 5-0, and 6-0 records. The training here is on another level, and even the beginner techniques classes will put you through it. I am grateful for the experience here, and I cannot recommend this place enough for any age and any level of athlete.

Really great community. Everyone is super helpful and the classes help you pick up the skills fast. My only problem is that it is $150 a month for unlimited classes. I don't go enough to make it worth it so I wish there was a price per class.
