I had received a Facial & Shampoo from Isabella(Bella). She gave me such a relaxing and calming facial that left my skin feeling amazing and glowing! I can’t wait to come back for another one. Her shampoo was also a 10/10 experience! She took her time through both services and made sure i was comfortable. I will be back! The salon itself is beautiful and clean. I would recommend.

I honestly think this is a great place to get your hair cut especially if you have thick straight hair like I do. Staff are very fun and they are very communicative as well. Although this time, I felt like my scalp was riding a roller coaster...cause she washed and dried so rough.

My husband and I both have gotten our hair cut by Becca, and they did a WONDERFUL job on the both of us. They listened to exactly what we wanted and just did such a nice job. I never do my hair and they gave me a perfect "wash and go" haircut that is so easy to manage. We moved to Pittsburgh recently and now know where will be going from now on to get our hair cut. Thanks Becca!

I came in for a fairly last minute haircut & eyebrow appointment because I was getting a professional headshot taken later in the same week. Becca had open appointments on the day I wanted to come in, so I scheduled with them. I was slightly worried trying out a new stylist 3 days before a photo shoot...and I left very happy! Becca did a super job of talking with me about what I wanted, and getting it done while keeping up a lively conversation! I part appreciated that there was no sales pitch for products, though she was happy to answer questions and make recommendations! I will be back!

I had a situation where my hair was damaged by some highlights at Tula. While this is not how most 5 star reviews start off, Tula went above and beyond to fix my hair. Courtney handled the situation extremely professionally. Kylie went above and beyond to work on restoring my hair. Bleach is unpredictable and these things happen but I couldn't have asked for the situation to be handled any better. In addition to this situation, the atmosphere is great and the products used are topnotch.I cannot recommend Tula enough.

I am very happy with the curly hair cut I received today from Jess! She exceeded my expectations and my boyfriend said it's his favorite style yet, so that is a double-win! Staff is super-friendly and helpful as well!

I’m new in town and I wanted a curly hair dry cut as I’ve had good previous experience with them. That is what I scheduled for on Saturday, October 21st. In hindsight, there were a number of small problems (no verbal confirmation of type of cut at counter or chair; lack of professionalism -talked way too much; and most importantly the stylist’s own hair not reflecting an interest in hair) that I overlooked and should have questioned.Becca did not listened to me when I clearly stated that I’d like my curly hair cut to my shoulder length with vertical layers. That was our whole exchange about my cut request. She quickly started sectioning off my hair, separating and stretching out my tight spiral curls instead of cutting curly hair as is which what all my prior curly hair dry cut stylists have done. I have thin hair but my curls with some volume; so it looks like I have lots of hair- I don’t. The stylist did not assessed this and certainly didn’t communicate what she was going to do.My last cut was seven months prior so my curls were long and fell well past the top of my shoulder blades and when brushed out to the middle of my shoulder blades. She made straight line cuts to the under layer inches from the base of my skull. There was no going back. I stopped the cut midway fearful the front of my hair would match the back. My hair now falls just below my chin in the front, and because tight spiral curls - the back reaches nearly level to my ears.I spoke to the manager and she offered and I agreed for another stylist (I was too distraught to remember her name but she has my thanks) to clean up the uneven jagged cut. I did not pay for my hair being butchered off. But I will have to live with this mess for the many months. I can just barely make a pony tail with what is left and in a pony tail my hair isn’t long enough to wrap around my thumb. I will have to purchase hair styling tools and products to straighten what is left of my hair to be presentable. I haven’t straightened my hair in 10+ years. Obviously never going back. Zero stars.

Really wonderful place! I went in on a Tuesday evening and was the only one in the salon, but I didn’t feel awkward at all. Great, friendly environment. I got a curly dry haircut, which can be pretty expensive, but Tula is priced right along with other salons in Pittsburgh, and my experience was twice as great! I instantly made a follow-up appointment.

Limited evening & weekend appointments, but worth the wait. I have been to 2 different stylists - 1 for clean up of usual hairstyle & 1 for new do. Both were pleasant, professional & very talented. Space was clean & roomy. Did not feel as if chairs were right on top of each other. Would definitely recommend Tula to anyone living in or traveling thru Pittsburgh's east end neighborhoods.

It had been a while since my last haircut after a bad experience else where left me feeling self conscious about the whole process. A friend of mine recommended Tula and their salon was exactly what I needed. Not only are all the stylists extremely kind and caring but they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Anna, my stylist, took the time to really listen to me and show me helpful techniques that would fit in to my daily routines and checked in on my level of comfort and happiness every step of the way. I love the space which was very inviting, not at all overwhelming, and I loved the Aveda products they use. I was impressed with their menu of services which included the standard men's, women's, and children's cuts, treatments, coloring, and styling but also included curly cuts, really fun and cool artistic coloring options, organic facials, and surgaring hair removal. I have already booked my next appointment and I am excited to get back on track with my hair self care! Highly recommend!Services: Haircut

Amazing experience overall! Anna is talented welcoming, patient and accommodating. She made me feel very comfortable and walked me through the cut as she was doing it. Highly recommend and worth it :)

I've never had a bad haircut here. Anna cut my hair this time and she did an amazing job. I didn't have a fully formed idea of what I wanted to do so I gave her creative freedom and she delivered. She brought to vision in my head into reality. Truly a sweet and talented young lady with the added bonus of being really fun to talk to.

I really liked Ashley's work here. She no longer works there so I'm trying out other hairdressers to see who understands my hair better I really like that they use sulphate free products. I usually get hair conditioning treatment and haircuts. Also it is appointment only so book in advance.

I am very dissatisfied with the way the receptionist, Courtney, handled my call. I asked if there was any availability today for an updo and I was met with a curt, "no" and then she promptly hung up. I called a few other places, and despite them being fully booked, they still were cordial with me, wished me a good day. Little things like that go a long way. I didn't feel welcomed here. I won't be coming here in the future.
