Dave matched an aged shutter's color with such great finesse: he did it timely (within 2 hours); he accomplished it for hue & for sheen in such a way as to be undistinguishable from the neighboring shutters. I am new to home ownership and often am in need of advice. Johnny is always helpful and willing to spend time with me explaining not only how, but why. ONE TIME I didn’t listen and had to come back because I was wrong and he was right. Bonus points because he remembers everyone by name and has treats for my dog!

UPDATE on the following post: The Manager called me the next day and apologized for the way I was treated and offered to refund the price of the paint I bought and a fair amount for my labor to remove and reapply the paint. So overall I am happy with the end result of the manager taking action to resolve the situation. BTW, the other paint we bought to paint the bricks is in perfect condition and we are very happy with it.
This post was from May 30, 2023: I purchased very high end Benjamin Moore Corotech Command waterborne Acrylic Urethane to paint a front porch fall of 2022. I purchased it because of the fast curing time. The next day I painted another porch with basic Home Depot Behr porch paint since I had time for it to cure as the tenants were away. I prepped both the same way and applied in the correct outdoor temperatures.
Well this spring my Home Depot regular paint is solid and the Benjamin Moore paint was failing. I spent a half day removing the paint and when I went back to the Benjamin Moore store to get regular porch paint, the employee proceeded to tell me how things I could have done wrong could cause the failure and they the paint bonds to everything better than anything else, essentially I did something wrong. I asked him to credit me for the previous purchase towards the replacement can of paint. I do have, or did have, an account with Benjamin Moore, I own many apartments for decades and I am very experienced in the use, prep and application of all kinds of paints. Well the employee said “call back Monday and talk to a manager or rep and see what they will do”.
I was quite unhappy with the response and he said to me “from where I’m standing I don’t see any reason to help you out” with an attitude. I told him to forget about buying the new paint, I will go to Home Depot and won’t be back if Benjamin Moore doesn’t stand by it’s products.
The first pics is the result of one winter and the video of how easy it was removed. The 3&4 are the finished product last year, the last is us cleaning, scraping and prepping the surface last fall.

The staff at this store have always been extremely helpful. I don't have a great eye for colors, so I shop here rather than a self-serve place to get help finding really nice colors, and years later I am super happy with my choices. Also the quality of the paint is much better than other places. I highly recommend this store.
