I was there with my son and and they wouldn't let him go home because he was .08 under his birth weight...that's the only reason.i was so upset and was very unhappy with this.also I know someone else that's there and nurse's were treating them unfairly. Security staff was friendly and a few of the nurses but I feel they just kept my son longer for money reasons since I had great insurance.

Thank you to Courtney & Ashley in the Green Unit. I appreciate all you do and continue to do. Not only for Jovanni and all the other patients. I am touched by you all especially the doctors. Thank you and God bless you all. It was a beautiful experience you all provided to me.

My son was admitted in June to the Rehab Unit after surgery. I was super skeptical because of how small the facility was compared to the hospital. We went in not knowing if our son would ever walk again. He defied the odds and walked after 1 week. We were even able to bring him home and do outpatients therapy. Thank you so much Brittany & Erick for everything you did. You worked a miracle on our son!

I wrote this post 3 years ago. Our son Jack is 17 now and I am getting closer to my retirement plan! This is kind of a personal post but I felt compelled to share when I saw an article in my news feed about interim parents and adoption. The family that served as "interim parents" to our Jack for the month before he came to our family through adoption is so very special to us. I remember the feeling of peace and overwhelming gratitude that our baby was loved and nurtured by these wonderful people before he was "our baby". He didn't spend a single day of his little life without warm arms to hold him... what a precious gift❤️ The Children's Home of Pittsburgh Adoption Program uses this model of interim parents to support birth families in their decision to parent or pursue an adoption plan. I highly recommend their program if you are considering adoption. I will be an interim parent one day. It's part of my retirement plan❤️

I worked as a Travel RN at TCH and absolutely love it. This is the largest group of genuine people I’ve seen in one facility. Of course there are a few bad eggs, but I would trust 90% of this dedicated staff with my family.

Spent nearly two months there learning how to take care of my granddaughter who is medically fragile. My daughter and I learned so much from these wonderful nurses and health care providers. I think every city that has a children's hospital should have a Children's Home.

Some of these drs need to rethink their career choice. Telling mothers of NICU babies that they are disappointed in them. My friend has come to me crying too many times.
