This is the best daycare for working parents! My kids attended this daycare for 5 years, had amazing learning experiences, and loved their time there. The teachers loved the kids, and all our teachers were very good at providing nurturing environments and communicating with parents. Also, there is a get well room in the center where an amazing nurse took care of the kids when they have mild to moderate symptoms, and my kids loved going to the get well room. Thanks to the get well room, we didn’t have to miss work days much while kids have time to relax and recover. Since we moved to a different city, we realized how special this daycare was because we could not find a place like this!

I want to start out by saying this is the BEST daycare my son has been to! He has been to a few different places and he didn’t thrive like he does here! He’s only been in school here for almost a month and he has learned soooooooo much! He is talking so much more (Saying please when asking for something and thank you when he gets something and so much more already!) He is also picking up amazing habits from school and bring them home! I am beyond proud of my son and the school itself and the amazing teachers they have! I would definitely recommend this school to anyone looking! AMAZING!

I worked there from 1984 until 2019. I left due to health reasons. I loved working there. My coworkers were fabulous people who all seemed to love the children and their taking great care of them. What I did and they do, is extremely important in a young child’s life. I truly miss it. Many of the workers have been there for many years as well. That says a good bit about a company. Every year we had classes to learn about how to give the best care to the children. We were proud to do the best that we could possibly do. I love and miss TCCP!

I WILL NO LONGER SEND MY CHILD TO THE CHILDREN’S CENTER OF PITTSBURGHThroughout my daughter’s time in their care there were several issues. Including, I witnessed other children injured and sick children were not given the proper care even when they presented with symptoms of illness (fever, runny nose, cough, and extreme uncomfort.) I have heard similar complaints from other parents. We as parents, are entrusting The Children’s Center to give our child the utmost care. When in actuality, our child is given subpar care. I am writing this review to give parents a better idea of what happens at the center. My advice is to use caution when sending your child here. Be very observant of the care your child is in and keep an eye out for symptoms that may present of illness and/or injury. I hope this helps other parents make the best decision possible for the safety of their child.

UNPROFESSIONAL, SAFETY HAZARDS FOR CHILDREN, POOR WORK ENVIRONMENT AND POOR MANAGEMENTOver the course of my employment at The Children's Center of Pittsburgh I witnessed several infractions involving children, staff and employees. There are inexperienced employees without the proper clearances in classrooms with young children and infants. Some of the problems I witnessed were, babies hitting their heads, sleeping on their stomachs and babies being burned by their bottles that were improperly heated. Infants were laid on their stomachs to sleep (if you know anything about SIDS you know how dangerous this can be). There were several inappropriate racial incidents between Caucasian and African American employees. I witnessed children being yelled at and hands being put on children. Two infants fell and hit their heads and no medical attention was given and no incident reports were filed (a legal requirement and the only way the parents know their child got hurt in the centers care.)As an employee I was subject to racial discrimination and I was fired via email for missing two days of work because my child was at Children's Hospital and not responding to treatment. I was sitting in my daughter's hospital room worried about how I am going to feed my child because I am no longer employed, when I should have been worrying about my severely sick child. The director Lynn was unprofessional and a poor supervisor. Several times I went to Lynn and the program manager Bianca with issues that worried me about the care of the infants, and they brushed me off and no changes were made. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and inappropriate. We rehearse for when DHS comes to do their inspection. So, if you chose to send your child to The Children's Center be aware that despite the certifications they hold, those requirements are not put into place on a daily basis. If I was aware of these issues, I would never have my child in their care.My only advice is to use caution when sending your child to The Children's Center of Pittsburgh because your child may be put in harm's way. And I would also recommend looking elsewhere for employment.I hope this helps parents and future employees make the best decision for themselves and most importantly, their children when looking into this center.

They take excellent care of our children here. We have been attending this daycare for 4 years and we have been on multiple classes with multiple teachers and they’re all excellent. I’m very surprised by the bad reviews.

This daycare is quite good. Every teacher treats the children with a smile and takes their time. For the 2-year-old age group, several teachers are very good. They like to take their children to play outdoors and explore nature. They also pay more attention to children's behavior and reading habits, and communicate well with parents. The only regret is that after three years old, it is on the first floor, which is a bit like a basement. I feel that the smell is not very good in winter.
