This Target in downtown Pittsburgh is a "small-format" store, so it contains fewer products than do regularly sized Target stores. Nonetheless, during my visit, I felt surprised and mostly pleased by the selection of merchandise. As I walked through the store, I noticed that the clothing departments were very small, but I thought that many other departments had a good variety of essential products that city dwellers and out-of-town vacationers could need. I saw groceries, cosmetics, hygiene products, cleaning products, kitchenware, office supplies, electronics, toys, gift cards, fresh flowers, Christmas decorations (in December), etcetera.I selected contact solution, shampoo, conditioner, and hand wipes. I did not see a face wash that was priced well so did not buy any. Two cashiers were standing near cash registers, but I used the self-checkout. The machine accurately scanned my items, and it charged me $0.10 for a paper bag. The machine also printed a parking voucher, although I did not spend the necessary $20 to receive it. I did not use the parking anyway.Overall, I think that this Target is an asset to the community, and I hope that it is profitable and can stay in business.

This is a scaled-down target, which is understandable a lot less space to put things. The staff are friendly and helpful.. it is always clean inside and out..I have had several conversations with the man who handles the daunting task of cleaning in the morning.. He is a friendly man, who goes above and beyond to help guests.. .. and all that and keeps his smile..I would recommend going there to shop

It's convenient. Light shopping. An all in 1 store just about. It depends on what your size is. And of course style. But it's mainly for college students and first timers on their own.

It was quite refreshing going into this store. The employees who I interacted with were smiling and happy to help me find what I was looking for. The store was very clean and super organized. Make the trip to the old Kaufman's building and do some shopping in the new Target store.

Want to get ripped off and be forced to pay for parking? This is the place! Contradictory signs (some stating free for an hour and some saying “fee”). The line was so backed up to get out that by the time I made it to the gate, I was forced to pay for 2 hours in the garage. Also, NOTHING is in stock.

Limited options compared to other targets and basically every line is self checkout so the employees don't really do much interaction with customers at all and that's a part of the in person store experience in my opinion..

Very small store, but very convenient... My biggest issue is that the staff is not very customer friendly and there is very little customer service. Overall I love this store and feel it is a great addition to Downtown.

Very nice store. Friendly and helpful employees. They have all the essentials for living in downtown. Great location, the old Kaufman building.

Perfect Target for those of us living downtown in the building. Has fresh grocery items which has been the hardest thing to find without having to drive on the outskirts of town.

I needed some grocery items and my wife raved about this Target. There is one good thing about this Target. The first and major thing is that there is free parking as long as you spend at least I think it was $20.For being in the city that is a huge convenience as there is nowhere generally to park and certainly not for free. The store itself is very small compared to average Target stores. This is the size of a small convenience store. The selection is not great but there is a little of everything. The prices I noticed on many items are more than at my local Target.I was going to buy one item and noticed it was $3 more than I normally pay???????I did not notice all the price differences but there is definitely enough for me to say I would not go back again.I think the parking in the middle of the city is a big plus , but I probably overpaid for a lot of the items so I could have gone somewhere and paid for parking.I would not recommend this Target at all unless you where desperate.I will not be going again. If you go please no your prices.

I was expecting more similar to a small Time Square type Target. This store is more of a micro store catering to people who live in the building for bare essentials. Five Below next to it has way better selection and prices for most things.

Literally the worst target I've ever been to. Went around 5pm on a Sunday and literally all the shelves in the grocery are empty. We couldn't even get the milk we came for. And it is also apparent that they don't even carry any of the items that any other target usually would carry, for example they don't have any clothing and a very limited cosmetics sectionAnd worst of all is the parking situation, it is too difficult to find the entrance to the parking garage, and the garage itself is confusing and long winded to actually get into the target. And worst of all is that the PARKING IS NOT FREE. It is literally $5 for every 30 minutes. Meaning if you spend an hour here you have to pay $10 for parking. And not only that but the parking exit is downright dangerous. The kiosk to pay for parking is literally at a dangerous upward incline so you have to literally put your car in park mid-hill and still risk it rolling backwards and hitting the person waiting to exit behind you (almost happened to us). They supposedly give you a voucher for free parking if you spend more than $20 (it printed out a voucher for us with our receipt) but the kiosk wasn't accepting our voucher, we had to call the help service. Also saw multiple people in the store looking for employees to help them, for example at the order pick up counter which was abandoned. It literally seemed like no one works here. All the checkouts are actually self checkouts!!0/10 experience, would recommend to avoid completely, don't waste your time. There is nothing sold here that you can't find at nearby CVS or rite aid.

It's nice to finally have a grocery store downtown but this target is just a tease. The selection isn't there, the items aren't stocked well, and you'll only be able to get a quarter to a half of what was on your shopping list...

Tiny. Dimly-lit. Depressing.Don't make the trip downtown if you're only going to Target. We were downtown and stopped by to check it out. I'd hoped to pick up a pair of gloves, but they don't sell them. They don't sell much of anything; if you want to get your dog a coat, though, you've got a generous selection from which to choose. I've been to Targets in other cities, and this one is by far the saddest and not even worth visiting. Annapolis has a gorgeous two-floor Target with free parking. So sad to see what has happened to what used to be an absolutely amazing downtown destination - when it was Kaufmann's. The owners destroyed this building.
