Most of these reviews are from when this was a different bank. Dollar Bank has since taken over. Friendly staff, easy in and out. Never had a problem with Dollar Bank in general.

I am real disgusted with this bank. I had money in my checking account made a purchase that CLEARED. I have screenshots. I had a few dollars left. The very next day I had an emergency so I used my overdraft protection HOWEVER this shady bank charged my account for not 1 but 2 overdraft fee's. One of the overdraft fee was for the purchase that made that I had money for and did not overdraw. I call it STEALING. I am not happy about it and will be sending letters to management. This is not the 1st time this bank pulled this on me. Very disheartening. I trusted this bank but not anymore. I am promising myself to to never overdraw again. Awful experience.

My GoBank says no fee, yet all of your ATM's charge $3.25 fees for me to withdrawal my own?money.

They have been very friendly and gracious with me. I have absolutely no complaints about this banking facility.

Do not bank here, they will not honor their own checks unless both parties have an account with them. I went to standard bank today to cash a business check from a Standard bank account, and they refused to cash it for me since I did not have an account with them. What good is a checking account with a bank that won't honor its own checks when they are given to non-account holders? I've heard of banks charging a fee for cashing a check when you don't hold an account with them, but this is ridiculous. The teller informed me that this policy was due to a number of forged checks that had been cashed there in the past. So apparently customers and the public should be inconvenienced due to their inability to identify fraudulent checks, or a lack of security features on the checks that would make them secure. This doesn't sound like the type of bank I would ever like to have an account with.

I had to deal with a very difficult situation and Mary Kutchko the branch manager and her staff worked above and beyond to help me handle all the paperwork needed for my case. Great gratitude and thank you go to Shaler Standard Bank employees
