I recently visited a special temple and had a wonderful experience. The peaceful atmosphere created a sense of serenity that I deeply appreciated. Each time I come here, I leave feeling uplifted, filled with positivity and gratitude. It's a truly sacred space that fosters reflection and tranquility. Highly recommend visiting for anyone seeking a moment of peace.

It was our first time visiting this temple per recommendation from a friend who travels once a year. It just happened that the day was Dusshera, which added to the special visit. It was a divine feeling to be surrounded by hymns and the fragrance of Hawan that was in progress as we reached. Though it was quite crowded, however it was easy visit including the ample parking available throughout the site. Towards the end the temple kitchen has ample options with reasonable pricing to ensure all can enjoy the prasadam.

Last weekend, we drove to Pittsburgh. Since it’s a long journey, we stopped after 4 hours at the Days Inn by Wyndham, 458 Sabbath Rest Rd, Altoona, PA 16601. It’s a nice place to rest overnight, offering a continental breakfast, and the price was reasonable. From the hotel, it’s just a two-hour drive to the Pittsburgh Balaji Temple.
The Pittsburgh Balaji Kalyanam was beautifully organized. The cost was $51, and it was a very inclusive experience. Men carried the deities, and women were involved in carrying items for the Kalyanam, making it a meaningful and engaging event. We participated in Kenya Daanam and even had the opportunity to touch the Mangal Sutram, Talabrala Akshintalu, and more. It was a pleasant and fulfilling experience, and we felt honored to be part of the Kalyanam.
I strongly recommend everyone consider performing the Kalyanam during your next visit to Pittsburgh. The best part is you don’t need to book the Kalyanam ticket in advance—you can buy it on the same day.
The temple offers food for purchase in the basement, but the options are limited. Almost everything is rice-based, except for the Upma, which I didn’t find particularly great. Other items like Pulihora, Pongal, and Sambar rice were okay, but I really liked the Masala Chai. I think the temple could improve the taste of the food items overall.

Jai Govinda !! The Venkateshwara Temple in Pittsburgh is a serene and beautifully maintained place of worship. Visitors are greeted by stunning architecture and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for reflection and prayer. The temple hosts various cultural events and festivals, enriching the community experience. The devotion and warmth of the local community enhance the overall visit. Whenever I feel low or needed more energy I go there and get super recharged!! Jai Govinda ???

You can feel the spiritual sacred feeling. I visited on a weekend (Saturday) and it wasn’t too crowd, but yes there are people. There are many facilities like changing rooms, washing legs, restrooms, cafeteria, shoe racks and jacket holders. Archana, Ashtothram and many more pooja’s here. Also Car Pooja is available. In cafeteria lemon rice, tamarind rice, curd rice, laddu, bondi etc are available. I tried the tamarind rice and laddu and I love it.

Best temple in PA. I went again after like 14 years and I was very happy to visit the temple. Only thing that I would give a negative 5 stars is for the kiddo that packs food boxes in the kitchen. I am sure you must have put in that place by your parents for a reason and the reason is EXTREME ARROGANCE. You are actually doing service and don't think you are above all. Honestly this kid must be put out in the cold cleaning the entire SV road. In fact I wouldn't even hire him for that position if I have the authority. I literally saw him yelling at the Kitchen staff who I noticed were a bit poor in English communication. Remember kid, unless you change your attitude, it will be difficult for your future survival. I visited the temple on 12/27/2023.
