The best store in Pittsburgh. Employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Also a nice atmosphere for parents to sit and relax while the kids shop. They have a big screen tv with sports on at all times for a good experience

Update: Our review is not fictitious in anyway and we do not appreciate being harassed for expressing our opinion. It is unprofessional to simply reject all negative reviews coming into your organization as baseless and fictitious. It speaks volumes. :(Review: Stopped in here for the first time recently with one of my kids and a friend. Bought a pack of sleeves, most of them were damaged. Got attitude from the staff and never went back. As a “sports” card store, we can appreciate their attitude towards healthy (or unhealthy) competition.It’s a shame to see such potential for collaboration and community growth go unnoticed by this store. While other local stores are thriving through mutual support and engagement, it seems this store prefers a more solitary path, a choice that speaks volumes about its approach to business and community relations.We are sincerely looking forward to the day when the store decides to start supporting the local gaming community instead of tearing it down. This shop has been beyond great. To say my 9 year old went head over heels into cards this past year is a drastic understatement. We have been to every shop in the Pittsburgh area on his card journey. Many shops are excellent. But Nate, Chad, Chuck, and everyone there go above and beyond the others. First trip here He hit a rookie autograph. I thought it might be worth 5 bucks. They took the time to explain what it was, what it might be worth, and how to take care of it to my then 8y/o who has been teaching me since. That was 7 months ago. Recently my son wanted his birthday party at a card shop. After being hung up when we called another shop closer to our home, we went to SCJ the next day. The shop has been open for almost 30 years and have never had a birthday party before. But they were open to roll the dice with us. The party ended a few hours ago. My wife has been getting blown up with texts and calls from parents about how much fun their kid had. SCJ went above and beyond to accommodate this idea, and really made it happen. Every trip here is great. We have 4 other local card shops closer but my son always wants to go to SCJ. They deserve more stars than Google Allows. Happy dad of the happiest kid on the planet.

My son started collecting sports cards about 6 months ago. The guys at SCJ have always been very helpful and taken great care of him. Today we had my son's birthday party at the store and it couldn't have gone better. This isn't just a business --these guys care about their customers and promoting the hobby. Definitely stop by the store!

Love this place to pieces. I’m a new, adult Pokémon player and they helped me out tremendously when it came to building my decks and teaching me the ropes. The owners are great and the community they foster there is amazing too. Come see for yourself what SCJ is all about.

With over a dozen Pokémon leagues in Pittsburgh, I’m not sure why we bothered to stop here this week* but we did and it was a mistake. Never once have we seen so much childish behavior by adults at a kids Pokemon event.-1 StarNot sure why the owner responded in the manner they did. I have a credit card transaction proving my visit…Looking back at the reviews, it kind of looks like this business just suppresses anything they don’t like which kind of speaks volumes to their vulnerability in the industry. Normal for any business to have a perfect Google ranking.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices. Great selection. Unfortunately, we live an hour away so don't make the trip often. But worth it when we do because it's better than the shops we have found that are closer.

I love this store for Pokémon. Everyone is inviting and helpful from the local players to Nate and crew as judges. One of the best spots for weekly Pokémon league in the state.

My partner and I play at Pokémon events here when we can. Mr. Emerson is a great TO, it's one of the more competitive stores in the Pittsburgh area, and cost/prizing at events are great. The store itself also has a good selection of singles and sealed product. I wish I lived closer!
