I've been going here since 2005. They had the best nurses in the business working there. I'm not sure exactly what happened but the one there now doesn't seem to care about people who come to this office. She told me that it takes one or two months to get a prior authorization. I work in Healthcare and know that it takes 5 minutes. When I raised this concern to my PCP. I found out that she either by incompetence or on purpose she made it get denied by leaving out the diagnosis. Now I'm stuck with nurse that plays games with my health. I am looking for a new provider and I don't recommend this place to anyone until they find a competent nurse.

The negative review is due to their incompetent billing department. I've gone to this clinic for my regular physical exam twice and each time I've been charged extra due to wrong codes and double charging. The doctors and nurses are fine but avoid this place if you don't want to waste hours of your time adjusting your bill.

I have been a patient of Dr Demoise for years. And I am very glad that I found him when I did. But I am happier that he is my doctor right now! He is the best! When I began seeing him he didn't have any grey hair at all. Now it's a different story. I think that I may be responsible for alot of it! Like I said before he's been there for me ALWAYS!

I am currently a long time patient of Dr. Anna Lewarchick and have also seen Dr. Heist. Dr. Lewarchick is one of the most genuinely compassionate doctors I have known in my 66 years. I moved to Pittsburgh from NYC and have been treated for decades for a list of chronic illnesses. What I appreciate most bout Dr. Lewarchick is her ability to listen to her patients and think outside conventional medical theory. She advises rather than dictates what a patient should consider doing in terms of health, very appreciated since I can be rather bull headed when it comes to my own health. Dr. Heist changed my life. And likely had no idea that he did, since all he did was relay a brief story of a friend who was also having difficulty finding a medical diagnosis. If you need a doctor and can obtain an appointment with either of these exceptional doctors, consider yourself very lucky, they are wonderful.

One of the worst medical center I have ever been to. They made me to wait so long even though I have my appointment and I am on time. They didn’t follow up after my test results so many times nor did they diagnose my issue properly. I don’t know that they prescribed me some medications until I asked them about it after three months. The physicians I met, don’t even know what medicines to prescribe and they were googling the symptoms. They don’t follow up or send reminders about your appointment. Very disappointed with their service and I am planning to change my primary health center now.

Drs are dismissive, you never get to see your pcp nor responses on the my upmc app. Refuses referrals to specialists when no Lyme literate drs are available there. Between Shea and the Shadyside ER I was given the wrong treatment for six months . I have endoscopies I had colonoscopies I had ultrasounds both inner and outer I had scans done, it took one trip to UPMC East ER to be diagnosed with Lyme disease. I am now drowning in medical debt Due to how long and how many tests were ran along with the debt from the incorrect treatment
