Morcilla was our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh during our recent visit, The food is delicious, the decor is appealing and service is terrific. We'd return if our travels take us back to Pittsburgh.

Food is always very interesting and wonderfully prepared. We have a couple of favorites but there are always new dishes and we always try new things. On our recent visit, we were seated close to the kitchen and I was able to watch the chefs at work. Very interesting! Highly recommend!

Morcilla was a decadent experience. We ordered the mushrooms, oxtail, softshell crab, octopus, and salad, and then somehow stuffed in the sorbet. Our favorites were the oxtail and octopus. No need to get both the octopus and the crab together; their sauces are quite similar. The wait staff was incredibly kind!

This is one of the finest restaurants anywhere in the country. I would know, since I travel constantly and have been to many excellent places to eat. The food is absolutely delicious and interesting. The service is first class. It's a little dark in there so it's hard to read the menu. Otherwise it's a real gastronomical experience.

We enjoyed several unique, tasty small dishes. Finished with the flan which was outstanding (and I don't usually like flan). Really don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu!

The food and service were incredible. They had a great wine list, the staff was very knowledgable about the food, and the food was delightful! The ambiance was cozy and intimate. We will be back!

This is one of the finest restaurants I've ever visited worldwide. I have traveled to 65 countries and tried many Michelin rated restaurants and Morcilla is among the very best. The food is exquisite, delightful, tasty and presented beautifully. The gambas were extraordinary, the octopus, skirt steak, tartare, beet salad, ribs and skate fish were absolutely wonderful. Each dish had a unique sauce that brought a provacative reaction to the palette. Even the sangria was as good as any I've had anywhere in Spain. Our server, Meghan, was fabulous. Never interrupted our conversations, offered suggestions and was as polite as possible. This was my second time having her as our server and she is superb. It is a superb place for food and company. My only small complaint is that the lighting is quite minimal, making it hard to see the small print on the menu. I have to use the light on my iPhone and reading glasses to be able to clearly see the details of the food. The noise level is a bit high but tolerable. In my opinion, this is one of the three finest restaurants in Pittsburgh. It's quite pricey but well worth the experience.

The server was very engaging and helped us navigate the excellent wine list. We ended up with a superb bottle of 2011 R. López de Heredia Rioja Reserva. The charcuterie plate was ample and delicious, especially the house made Morcilla sausage. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly rare and served over a delicious puréed sunchoke sauce and topped with a delicious red wine reduction. Pomegranate and rhubarb sorbet ended the enjoyable evening with a refreshing, palate pleasing dessert. Cheers!

The waiting staff made the experience so enjoyable. We went for dinner on my husband's birthday. The food was delicious and fresh out of the kitchen. Our waitress did a great job making us feel comfortable. We'll definitely be back again!

I would love to write a short novella about all of the great things we experienced at Morcilla, what a joyful and complete dining experience. The service was outstanding from door to table and back out the door, the food arrived in a lovely well timed process that allowed us to savor every morsel and the only regret I have is that I was visiting Pittsburgh and will not be back often enough to make this a regular stop. Rest assured though, I will return to Morcilla every time I return to Pittsburgh!! Yinz are killin' it. xo Gordon

This was a fun date night with another couple. The snack and small plate options was the best way to go. We were able to try many things without getting too full. The mussels, oxtail, and anchovies were the best snacks. The. The duck was by far the best small plate, but all of the small plates were delicious.

Always a great time at Morcilla, the food is amazing with a number of selections to mix and match. It gets busy but doesn't feel crowded, it does get noisy which makes it hard to have a conversation sometimes but that's part of the ambience.

We ordered an assortment of small plates. The food was good, with sophisticated flavors and depth. However, my partner and I didn't consider it outstanding. We also had subpar service from one of the waitstaff, which negatively impacted our overall experience. He didn't check on us for nearly half an hour after serving our pre-dinner drinks (thought he visited the table next to ours, so its not like he was too busy or working in another part of the restaurant). It was odd. Other servers seemed nice though so hopefully he's just an aberration.

The food & service was excellent. It had been a number of years since we dined here. Feel the food was exceptional and better than our previous visit years ago. Love the creativity and presentation of all our choices. Will be back!!
