We are a non-profit here in Maryland and reached out to PNC who purchased the accounts of Famer's and Mechanics bank. A car was donated and I just spoke with Steven who works in the loan servicing department, he was very rude and they have made the process to get the lien release letter very difficult. The vehicle has been paid off for 14 years. I would not recommend using their loan services because their representatives need training in customer service.

After paying off the car in 12/3/2020, they never sent a title. I only realized that in Jan 2023. After a few weeks of calling them, it seems that they have a very difficult time finding my account even with my SS#, the case manager Tiffany W. never answers her phone, and they don't seem sure where the title is. Eventually, I got a lien release letter from them. However, they were supposed to send the title. When I called them to see what the deal was, they stated that I need to take the letter to the DMV to get a new title. I called the secretary of state who confirmed that was NOT the way to go about getting my title after paying off a car. The state said that PNC should have the title. When I called PNC, they couldn't find the account and said they will call email me sometime.

PNC Bank has caused so much stress! Most difficult bank ever dealt with. Have excellent credit! Think you'd appreciate! Many divisions, extensions and always transferred to multiple people with no rectification. 7 months since our vehicle loan and still NO automatic payment taken out. Filled out private form PNC sent with all banking info and get a response back wrong form. Who has the original sent with my private banking info? I haven't in my life dealt with an incompetent business such as PNC BANK. It was months till finally able to get into the online account. So many hurdles with user ID and passwords. Will NEVER allow any future business endeavor to include PNC Bank in any way! YOU SHOULD NEVER KEEP OLD ID'S from previous accounts as the delay is real in every area forward with no rectification.Waste your time and be stressed with PNC? Why would you?

They lost my title and now I haven't been able to drive my car through no fault of my own. Can you reimburse me for a month of rentals? That's how behind they are!!!

Do NOT waste your time trying to do a home equity line of credit through PNC. We rotavated an entire property inside and out, went through the entire loan application etc. Just to find out they do a drive by appraisal instead of a boots on the ground appraisal. This bank is a joke. Because of this I will be switching banks and taking my money elsewhere. AGAIN, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

Absolutely the worst customer service. Other than it takes forever to get to someone to speak to, the automated system is garbage. The main problem I have is after spending thousands of dollars in interest to this bank they will not send me a lien release! They claim they sent it to the address that was listed but I never received it, but yet I have the other lien releases from two other banks from the same month when I paid off my vehicles. When I asked if it was sent through certified mail I was told no. So no proof they ever sent anything!!!! Now they say I have to purchase a lien release even though they have no proof of ever sending it or me ever receiving it. Would think after all the interest paid this company would be willing and could afford to send something this simple to a customer. Instead they would rather lose any possibility of keeping or having a future customer who is currently looking for a loan. PNC will not from this day forward ever receive a penny from me and anyone thinking of using PNC in any fashion should think twice. There are way better banks and are willing to help customers.

PNC has the all time worst customer service if you have an account. Good luck actually getting in touch with someone. The phone line is always 20 minute wait even if you already waited 20 minutes. Total joke and amazing how they still have any happy clients. I will never bank with them given their lack of customer service on the loan side. Negative stars if possible. For some reason my account is not able to use the online service so it’s a total circle j**** Phone says use online. Online says contact someone and waste your day waiting.

PNC ethics to employees is horrible and racial targeting. They harass all the employees if same family. Don't bank at this Bank and they are ruining the image of PA & Philadelphia- The Liberty Bell. Targeting any employee who has family like - Wife and Husband or Mother and Child or Father and Son.

Unknowingly making double payments for four months, after discovering this I contacted my bank and PNC. PNC refunded three over payments, which left three payments accepted. Over the next several months, calls that my account was past due, making another double payment to catch up my account I was assured by PNC representative my account was current. Phone calls from collection Dept with letters of default right to cure ( repocess) my vehicle continued even after my account was moved up to investigation by PNC. Talking to several representative of their retail escalations team, which did not call me back on good Friday as promised, Saturday morning I received another call from the collection Dept as well as a letter of default and right to cure letter. Poor book keeping and extremely poor customer service. After talking to several collegues I've discovered more than several have had issues with PNC being at fault and had they not kept receipts, they too would have been in my current situation. After researching and consulting with my bank, if this issue is not resolved and my account cleared of inaccuracies, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and my bank. I will and have informed everyone I know not to do business with PNC BANK.

Horrible customer service. Communication of the status of my account has been horrible. I found out for the first time after 6 months that it was delinquent. I've been trying to negotiate repayment of missed payments on a loan since the day I was informed, which was less that 30 days ago. My phone calls go unanswered and I've only had 2 out of 10 calls returned. I sent a certified letter to the address listed on the letter I received with attention towards to the undersignee of the account. The signature on the receipt is just a curved line that looks like an "M" or a "W", so I have no idea who actually signed for it should I need to provide that information. The day after the certified letter was signed for, I received a phone call after I had requested verbally and in writing that I am to be contacted through written correspondence only. This is a direct violation of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which applies here since my account was charged off to the internal debt collection department. A letter reminding me of the charge off was sent out on July 1, 2017 and I just received it today. It doesn't take 10 days for a letter to arrive as I sent my certified letter July 3rd and it was received July 6th. My certified letter stated what I could do to bring my account current, yet I received a notice dated July 7th, also received today, stating that due to being unable to reach settlement terms my loan is now due in full. The letter I received on June 26th, dated for July 9th states that PNC is willing to negotiate. The July 1st letter states that you are willing to negotiate. I am perplexed as to why PNC would state it is willing to negotiate, yet when a consumer attempts negotiation they want to back-step and request full payment. I have been a loyal customer for 12 years, and I will be moving all of my assets to a different financial institution and closing all accounts. Further, I will be suggesting to friends and family to do the same, and I will be filing further statements to other entities may include but is not limited to the BBB, FTC, and Attorney General for Indiana and Pennsylvania.
