Looks like PNC is just as inept and despicable as most consumer banking institutions are these days. RUN. Long story short- I opened a Virtual Wallet account last week, and was incorrectly advised that the debit card could not be mailed to a PO Box (how ridiculous of a statement is that?) I requested an escalation because that statement seemed just as bogus as you probably do reading this, and was advised I'd hear back in 1 to 2 business days. By the third business day, I had to call because I'd not heard back from PNC and we needed to act quickly to try and catch the first debit card that they mailed to the wrong address. A day or so later, I set up an external transfer from my existing dumpster fire of a bank to go into PNC. This was done on Thursday, and those transfers take 2-3 business days. Ok, cool, by Monday we should be golden. The next day, I called again to ask about the status of my escalation for the debit card, and was pleasantly advised that the first rep I spoke to was wrong and that PNC could in fact mail debit cards to PO Boxes (duh). So the representative updated the mailing address on the account and triggered a new debit card to be mailed. Wow, how lucky am I to have a bank send a debit card where I tell them! Fast forward through the weekend to Monday, transfer completion day. I go into the app and notice that now there is a hold on my transfer. "Hmm.. I wonder what load of BS I'm going to get shoveled my way this morning" I thought to myself. So I call and lo and behold, PNC has now put a hold on my external transfer because there was an address change. Now I have to wait three business days for this BS hold to clear off the account, then another 2-3 days AGAIN for the transfer that I previously initiated. The gentleman I spoke with (Lamar) told me that there was just nothing they could do to expedite or manually clear the hold. This is a load of garbage because I know for a fact that they can manually override the hold. So now I have to go back to my external accounts and my employer to remove PNC from my direct deposit because I'm closing my Virtual Wallet accounts before they even get funded. PNC can't even handle mailing a debit card and processing an external transfer without screwing up, which honestly is par for the course these days with consumer banking institutions. Chase is a joke, FIGFCU is a joke, and now PNC has become a joke. It's a shame, because PNC used to be a tolerable bank to deal with, but things have changed. So off I go to another bank, looking for the ever-elusive consumer bank that can handle basic and rudimentary transactions without unecessary delay.

I have been a customer of BVVA for 23 years (soon to be former customer because of this HORRIBLY TOTALLY MISHANDLED acquisition of BVVA. I have had NO access to our checking account for two weeks and counting. I have spoken to National and local people all acknowledging how bungled this acquisition has been burning out personnel handling this mishandled acquisition. I am tired of we're sorry; sorry is not getting me access to our checking account! AVOID PNC AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

The good: I was able to score a $200 bonus by opening a virtual wallet checking pro with spend account, and make qualifying direct deposits of at least $2k within 60 days. There was no monthly fee. Zelle is available. The bad: The mobile app was kind of basic, not as feature rich as Wells Fargo or Chase. While I was able to set up a low balance alert, I assumed I would not be receiving those alerts once I closed my account, but I assumed wrong. The ugly: Their wikipedia page states that they are in the process of acquiring BBVA, who I am currently banking with. Guessing that relationship will be ending soon. The locations feature on their website was not working for me. The takeaway: Thanks for the gumball, Mickey. Appreciate the free money, and if you feel like throwing some more at me in the future, I just may give you another chance.

PNC Bank just charged $15 to SEND A FAX. Not making enough money during a pandemic. Uncontrollable greed. 30 minute waits on phone for customer service, they don't care about you, the customer, only about making more money. How much did their CEO take home last year?STOP banking with these greedy people, take your hard-earned wages somewhere else.
